Sounds good.
I'll try to make it, we can talk tires.
Work has an outing my wife and I are going to Saturday night, will have to see how I feel Sunday morning.
Haha, I actually thought it was really nice of him to offer the free trunk tray installation. lol

oh, and the trunk tray install should be pretty straight forward unless you have a bunch of crap in your trunk.

Another little update....
Thursday I rotated my tires and took the opportunity to scrub the barrels of my wheels. Prior to re installation I sanded the surface rust off the wheel/hub mating surfaces for good measure.
These damn tires are so noisy, I hate them. They have a lot of tread remaining though and do great in dry/wet so they'll stay until they're getting down there.
They are Hankook Ventus V4ES, noisy tires! Aside from that they're great.
I discovered a torn boot on my front driver's side sway bar endlink so plan on replacing both of those for piece of mind. I do things in pairs and pairs only.
This morning I had the GM Syncromesh Friction Modified swapped in and the transmission literally feels brand new, nothing in the shifters way but the next gear....shifts are very crisp, relatively short and clean. It ran 14.03 a quart and it ran $65 in labor. It was actually very fast, car cooled off for an hour and then the tech. took about a half hour.
I then went to my father's for a while to clean the fingerprints off my engine bay and there weren't none, I was very impressed and plan to swing back by Monday to thank them....I really appreciate that, shows a great deal of respect to other people's property IMO.
In other news I think my first official aftermarket modification is going to be a nice n fat rear sway bar.

GODZILLA & 3G TL
Clean ride OP! I like reading about people just finding this site and not having performance or other mod plans...just you wait LOL! It will happen, I'd just advise to take time with whatever you do. It took me about 2.5 years to get my TL to where it is now. Other than tint (kind of a given), the full A-spec lip kit DRAMATICALLY changes the look of the car. That's just my $0.02, take it for what you will...ENJOY!
BTW, nice call on a new rear sway bar. Thickest one out there is from Progress, 24mm. 2 stiffness settings too! From what I recall, it should be about $120. Good luck!

Well, today my front sway bar endlinks arrived from Curry Acura, thanks Ack for saving me the couple bucks, I would've easily spent an additional $15 at my local dealer. Shipping was lightning fast as well, they arrived next day!!
My driver's side one had a torn boot and I replace things in pairs. For this reason: it turns out not only was there a lot of play in the driver's side endlink ball joints but the passenger one was torn the whole way around the ball joint.
Wishful thinking or not IMO the front end feels stable now, more so than it did before
I don't rush through installs, do take smoke breaks and I think both sides took something like 45 minutes. It's nice to see this car will be relatively easy to DIY.
I snapped some pictures:
My first real wrenching on the car, felt pretty good.

I remember the first time I took a wrench to my car, I took off the rear bumper and replaced my tail lights. When it comes to crucial parts around the engine and such, I can't bring myself to do it myself. I'm too scared I'll screw something up
I don't have a RSB so I can't help you there

It's cool, I'm sure I'll find my answer.
I'm taking the 7424XP to the paint tomorrow with a Meguiar's finishing pad and plan to wax the snot out of it, I'll grab my wife's Canon and snap some shots if I remember. Maybe do a photoshoot with my father in law and his original, restored 62' Bonneville. It's white as well, go figure.

Well, time for another fun update.
I came to my father's which is where my tool box, jack/stands are and had at it. I installed my Progress RSB today along with new OEM endlinks. It went pretty well, all 4 endlink bolts were rusted pretty good....luckily I have a set of 6 differently configured vise grips. So after I chewed on those a bit all was well.
I concluded the modification with a clean up session, car had a week's worth of rain/dirt/etc. stuck to it.
I used the sway bar's aggressive setting.
I don't mind doing little stuff like this in the driveway but for more involved things I'll steal my in-law's garage. The driveway's hard on my knees.
I think next will have to be an aspec front lip.

I'll have to do some reading, I might consider a TL-S front sway bar...
One modification begins the next.

You will feel the RSB a lot more with stock suspension than with Coilovers...
Also, the front compliments the 5AT a lot more....am thinking of switching my front out to Comptech or the Type S one....

I think the key is the fact that it's a solid bar. When I got the POS OEM bar out and set it on the garage floor, it sounded like one of those fucking windchimes at Queer One Imports.
I was surprised at how easy it was to install. The hardest part was cracking the endlink bolts. After that, it went very quickly.
Sorry if we're getting too far OT in your thread, Aaron!

I read that the stiff setting on the Progress can be too much at times, esp with the 5AT. I figured why pay for a setting that I'll never use?

I've only had it on a few days though, need moar time.
It's cool, yes, those endlink nuts are bastards.
Yes they sure were! Vise grips FTW! Although, If I had means to dremel the nut off I would've went that route. lol

^^^ tell me about it.....
last winter my memory seats went out....then the wiper....then the windshield washer fluid....
comes spring, i checked all the fuses and they were fine, i took off all the fuses and reinserted them....and bingo....everything worked....
i mean reinserting fuses, really ? i thought it was something major since stuff that was failing all belonged to a different circuitry....well got lucky there....
its always a good thing to know someone on the inside....i had great relations with my service manager....he was just PERFECT....too bad i moved to a different city

Well, I had the day off work while the wife did not so I decided to visit my father and clean the car up.....and get rid of that pin stripe. I liked it but I like it without so eh, it actually came off easy in about 10 big pulls. lol
I plan on gettng an aspec front lip here at some point soon.

Thanks guys.
Next up, HFL module replacement.....I could go without it but it's so convenient to have. lol
Ack's got some good used ones so I'm going to go that route....then if that one breaks in the future I'll know it's worth it for a brand new one.
After that I will work in the aspec front lip.

Don't get me wrong, I really want to but having features that don't work bugs me about as much as burnt out interior light bulbs.
Damn HFL, it was flawless until I disconnected my battery troubleshooting the alarm issue I was having as a result of the bad driver's door actuator.
I've pulled the fuses mentioned in the HFL threads, disconnected the battery again and repaired my phone. It works about every other start, when it doesn't work it shows the notorious "booting up". When it's working the HFL diagnosis shows no problems....as common as the module failure is I'm just going to replace it.
