My TL's Roof Wrapped in 3M Carbon Fiber
got my roof & door pillars wrapped in 3m's new scotchprint 1080 black carbon fiber printed vinyl. i think it turned out pretty good. i have a deck lid spoiler that i'm going to wrap in the same film and install next week. i think it will be a nice addition to the current setup.

Appreciate the comments guys...it took quite a bit of time and effort.
i did the door pillars myself and had my buddy help me on the roof. he's wrapped vehicles before so i let him do the antenna housing on his own. from what i gather...it was a bitch! we had to take the cover off to do it.

I'm considering doing my B-Pillars with Carbon Fiber myself.

^^well i think it needs another 'touch' of carbon fiber to create the proper contrast to make the roof stand out like it should. i think the deck lid spoiler will be enuf so i'm still undecided about the side mirrors. i ceratinly don't want to drift into the carbon fiber overload arena, but the pic i photoshopped with the side mirrors done does look good so i might go ahead with it--we'll see after i install the spoiler. worst case, the mirrors are too much and i do them and end up removing the film afterward.
today is actually the first day i've seen it when it was sunny out and looks much better than i had originally thought based on what i saw from the day previous when it was overcast. this particular cf vinyl has a glossy finish as opposed to the 3m di-noc which has a matte finish. i def prefer the glossy black finish...which is why i was initially deciding between a straight gloss black roof or a gloss black cf roof. for now, i'm content in my choice but later on down the road i'll likely want something different and will probably do a straight gloss black vinyl wrap on the roof.

would it be completely stupid to do this on a NBP? i would probably just want to do the rear lip spoiler for a little extra something on the backend... i love the look of the black roof on silver or white but kinda pointless on black already.

a cf deck lid spoiler would be fine on a black vehicle, but not sure about the roof. you will certainly be able to tell it's wrapped, even with my particular cf i have which is glossy--the di-noc is matte finish. it's not like it will just blend in to ur base paint...u'll be able to see a difference between the two, but not sure if its worth doing.

i would start with the roof and the roof spoiler....see how it comes along and then tackle the deck lip spoiler/mirrors/etc/...

Actually, the Carbon Fiber looks the best on a NBP.

The CF looks just great, but by the time I did mine the shop doesn't has CF vinyl, so I went w matte.
Most of the people prefer the gloss look, I think.

I need to pick some of this new 3M vinyl up to do my front grill.
