My one month old

This is my first new car. It's replacing my '00 Toyota Solara that I bought in October of '03. I loved that car, but I finished up college, got a job and have been at it for a bit over a year now and can afford the car, so I went for it. I've wanted one since I saw them in '04. I started shopping around in January, but I heard the '09 was going to be different, so I waited until I saw some pictures of it in August to make my decision. The way I figured it, I would either like the '09 and be happy I waited and not regretting getting the '08....or the '09 wouldn't be that hot, and I'd get a deal on the '08...so yeah, we've all seen the '09...lol

Without further delay, here she is!

So far, the only modifications were adding the decklid spoiler, painted splashguards, changing all interrior lights to white LED's and the courtesy lights in the door to blue LED's. I also went with 20% tints all around. I also hard wired my LED dashlight and tucked it up under rear view mirror. I have a 2002 MDX foglight switch that I'll be wiring it to when I get some time to figure it out.

I have a set of H&R springs that I got for a GREAT price sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. I'm waiting til next month because I've done alot to it in the first month that I've owned it, and I also need to find a good shop to install the springs. I'll also be going with a stage 3 exhaust job. Don't feel like spending the bucks on a catback. I'm also planing on changing the rear sidemarker to a smoked tl-s one to match the front.

I think that will be the end of the mods...if the time comes and I get bored, maybe a CAI and swap the stock rollers for the tl-s or gunmetal a-specs....that would really only happen though if a great deal rolled along. I don't plan on clearing out and smoking the headlights unless I also happen to come across some clear difusers to replace the amber ones.

Congrats on the upgrade to a luxury sport sedan. I always liked the 1st gen Solara. You got any pics of the Solara? You should have spoiled yourself with a Type-S. Happying modding!

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome. Post some more pics after you've lowered it and things. We have similar order/taste of modding-that's weird, (Haven't done anything though) I have the same exact car (NBP)...and she's 1.5 months...and she's so pretty!

Hmmm, I'm gonna try to make it up to the Westchester meet, what town is Executive Blvd? I used to go to school up in Westchester at Iona in New Rochelle, and I'm frequently up there at White Plains Airport for work. Here's one more pic of my TL after I washed it, parked next to my other vehicle...a 1993 Emergency One 100' Rearmount Aerial Ladder.

Here are some of the Solara for those above who requested it...nothing too special:

Mods included:
-18" ADR Kasai Rims
-Injen Short Ram Intake
-Magnaflow muffler with thrush glasspack resonator, custom 2.25" piping
-Pioneer DEH-P6500 headunit
-JBL Amp and Rockford Subs
-20% Tints
-Valet remote start and alarm
-Euro cleared corners

and a bunch of other little things I forgot. I kinda stopped modding it once I went away to school as I barely drove it, didn't have the $$ to do it, and I liked doing the work myself so I didn't have the place to do it. I decided after college to hold off on it and wait until I got a new car and start from scratch.

I probably should have gone with the TL-S, and while there are alot of things on it that I really like, there are certain aspects that I didn't like. I wanted to keep the luxury look with a sporty edge. I feel like the TL does that the best. PLus they don't make a TL-S in PMM. I also am more of a fan of the blue interror lighting and the TL tail lights. On the other hand, I like the TL-S rims, brembos, headlights and additional power.
