Talking My New TAIL LIGHTS Came!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So in anticipation of the new type-s tails coming today, I drove all the way home from CT last night just to get them installed this morning. It was a 4 hour drive in terrible rain and I got home at midnight but it was worth it! I woke up first thing and went out and dropped the rear bumper enough to take out the stock tails.
Took the stock tails inside and started removing the L.E.D. boards to get them ready for when the new lights arrived via UPS. Sure enough just as I finished the second L.E.D. board the UPS guy brought me my box!
So I opened them up and transferred the L.E.D. boards over, along with all the foam gaskets and went out to install them.
Overall it was a super easy job, just busted up my fingers a bit but other then that I say it was a 5 outta 10 in difficulty.
Im super happy with the lights, they look great and are much better then the stock ones I covered the black tint. They were easy to install in about 2 hours and they fit perfectly (they are DEPO lights). They ran me 150$ shipped and they came in 4 business days which is great time. So here are the pics!

So give me some comments on them! I know I need to get type-s side markers but the stock ones look ok the way I wrapped them. Yes there is some water drops on the OUTSIDE of the lights when I took the pics cause I washed the car right after I put them on and didnt dry them, got excited to show you guys haha. Let me know what ya think!

Just curious, what are those black marks on the left side of the bumper?

constructive criticism: fix your paint and tints before replacing or adding more parts. and your spoiler looks extra tiny now with type S lights IMO. but you're young so who cares. glad you love the lights.

Well thanks but there is nothing wrong with my tint job and I still say the spoiler is not that small. Looks better in person. And the marks on the side are where a lady hit me in a parking lot. Im not fixing it cause the aspec kit will cover it up.

he is referring to the quarter windows. your tint place didnt take the time and effort to tint the full window. and your spoiler is small, compared to other type-s one. Also, the aspec kit might not cover all of those scratches.

They look good, OP! I was torn between TL-S tails or lightly tinting the base tails. The latter was less than $20 to try so I did, but I wasn't all that enthused about the look. I'll be rockin' these depos soon.

I got them off of ebay for whoever asked. And yea I had the stock tails tinted for a few months and it was not horrible but it was just to dark for me. I like the way these look for sure

I think the lights look great. Much cleaner look overall then the tinted lights in my opinion. Also, they blend in well with your tinted side markers and blacked out Acura badge.

I wish that was true for you but those marks are too high to be covered....The aspec is about 1/4 inch below the bumper line...not along the bumper line. It will cover most but not all....The dent is another story. The Type-s tails look nice but I think most of us got over the excitment of them back in 2008.

Looks great! But unfortunately, these guys are right about the scratches. You are still going to need to do something since the A-spec trim is only going to cover a majority of the damage. But I think it is an improvement over the base tails. I used to love the base tails, but I think I've moved on... lol

Crest just get a little WDP touch up paint from Acura, and touch it up! That's what I would do.. Because any body shop is gonna want to paint your entire bumper.

Yea the body shops wanted to paint alot more then the bumper. And I just moved not long ago and my touch up paint is missing lol still looking for it. And for those of you hating on the fact that I got depot and not OEM. Im 18 and in college, its what I can afford and they are exactly the same, there is no difference whatsoever

Understood on OEM vs. Depo. When you are on a strict budget, you do what's best for the pocketbook. As long as the fitment is acceptable, then you probably chose wisely.

Crestwood you gotta take it a little at a time. A little here and there is better than a lot at one time, IMO. Keep on keepin' on!

Everyone's got their own priorities, no need to make him feel stupid because his don't match up to ours. I personally would fix stuff before getting new stuff(and I am, getting my car detailed with a high speed buffer to take out some swirls in the clear coat this weekend), but he's excited about his purchase and that's cool.

Look nice man
