Talking My Latest Additions - 56k Go Get Drunk and Come Back When You're Sober

Well... This is what I've been up to these past few weeks. It was a nail biter watching my car in so many pieces, but it all managed to come back together nicely. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

First up are Alpine TME-M780 Headrest monitors. The install was pretty easy. The only challenge for me was drilling into the hollow post inside the headrest to run the video wires through. The two posts are actually one post that bends in a U shape. It has no opening for the video cable to enter the post from inside the headrest.

I didn't bother with a DIY since a few people have already done it. See this thread for more info and pics of other installs: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/2008-tl-type-s-headrest-monitors-715773/

Anyway... on to the pics.

Myron & Davis AD212 3/4 DIN DVD Player. Thanks Rockyfeller for your excellent write-up! Here's a link to Rockyfeller's DVD install thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=myron

Peripheral Electronics PXAMG iSimple Media Gateway mounted in the driver footwell. Perfect location. I absolutely LOVE this thing!

Can't forget about the iPhone! This is also tied into the video system and plays on the NAvi screen and the headrest monitors via an Apple composite A/V cable. Audio comes out of Aux2 on the iSimple.

Black suede headliner. This really sets off the interior!

Another angle

and the back

Boyo VTK350 Backup camera. The resolution on this cam is amazing! I also mounted a stealthy button in the cup holder to turn on the camera while moving forward if I ever wanted to. Forgot to take a pic. Credit goes to Elegant Type S for the idea.

The system... custom fiberglass WDP color-matched, modular design. The trunk can be returned to stock in about 10 minutes with no trace of a system ever being there.

All this was possible a lot of hard work and help from good friends. Special thanks to Elegant Type S and AutoMech Customs and Performance in Miami. They helped with the headliner and did most of the work on the custom trunk setup

I'm currently working on dressing up the engine bay with paint and other creative things. Should be done by the end of the week. I also have an appointment this week to get my custom exhaust installed. Thanks to Edluv143 for the hookup. He had his done yesterday and man does it sound awesome! Here's his install thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-112/got-my-custom-exhaust-today-its-so-sick-720563/

I appreciate any and all comments. Thanks for looking!

Interior looks sick! I think you should black out all the pillars, handles, and everything to finish off the black suede.

Trew, your car's a one of a kind. keep it up man. I'm very impressed with the DVD player. I want one so bad right now, as well as the headrest monitors...

Last but not least, the Suede Interior looks so hooott!!! I wish our cars came with black top interior

Damn Trew that shit is insane! I am gonna do the DVD player/backup cam soon hopefully. Already got the Peripheral and love that. I have a question, in this picture:

I see a second iPod cable. Is it possible to hook up 2 ipods and switch back and forth between them? That would be sweet if I could just tell my passengers plug in there ipod and play it through my Peripheral unit.

Nice.. Finally we get to see your car back together in one piece.... LOL. I remember after we finished your headrests at my place you left with that shit all apart rattling away.. oh wait was that your bass! Hahah and now THIS! Good stuff man!!

Also people you need to know when all this shit started. This shit started about 2 months ago! He was bitching through the entire process like a little girl ... haha.. but I told him, "you'll forget about all this shit when its all said and done!" Looks like he did!

First it was the system, and while that was getting done, we did the NAVTOOL and then did the iSimple. Then few weeks later we installed the headrests, and took his car apart for Trew to finsih the rest of the stuff off. Very nice man.. came out sick! I need to observe the pics more to make some criticisms so we can tweak it.. so I'll post back.
