I don't like the open area next to where the lights are going and behind the Acura emblem. are those permanent?

At least they're OEM. Are you going to fill in the open spaces in the grilles?

Me too bro!. I have seen couple mercedes with this type of LEDs and they appear to be not very bright. This doesn't bother me at all since they will be my DRL. Besides, i got brand new 07 tl type-s headlights, they are awfully bright at night! so i should be fine when driving in the desert

My boy told me to put like a mesh or something there to cover the gap in between but don't really know what to do. Any ideas?

I suggest that you cut the oem lower grills to fit, and plasti dip the chrome bars.

Edit: or maybe use 04-06 lower grills

Once the LED's get installed, what mesh are you going to do with the open space next to the LED's?

I don't like it but since it is my only car i have no choice. I'm just waiting for the parts to come. The 07 type s mesh should come on wednesday so as soon as i get it i will install it.

i was thinking about that too but don't know how that will look. I will work on that this week and then will post some pictures.

OP, your rendition looks pretty nice so far. i suggest 04-06 grilles and cut them, plastidip all of it to have matching finish.

but i hate them even on the e-class, so overall i don't like it.

A little update. Let me know what you guys think I did what i could, i think it would have looked so much better if i did this before i attached the MB grille but this will do for now. Once i have the whole car painted i will ask the body shop to fix couple things that need to be fixed

Looks pretty flawless so far. The honey comb almost matches, almost.
Nice choice of grille, definitely the proper choice.

Looks absolutely beautiful with the Type-S grill.
Matches very well.

I would put the chrome strips on then Plasti-Dip them black.

Reason is the Type-S grill looks funny with the notch for the chrome strip.

So now we have 2 or more people on board with the MBenz style LED DRLs. Interesting.... Real original.

Never was a fan of how it looked on the TL. From afar at night I would be like "Oh damn look at that mercedes coming towards me" "Oh.... it's just a Acura trying to look like a MBenz"

But atleast you can say you stand out from the other 5,000 AZ TLs on board and the other TLs on the road
