yes, i know they use a aftermarket bumper but in exchange the headlight is OEM. Between the 2 I rather has OEM headlight since the bumper will get cover up anyway.
Just a small update, i drove the car for about 2 weeks make sure nothing is wrong with the repair performed by the body shop.
I still have a tons of part awaiting to be installed, I decided to go BC Racing coil next as the Tein Street Advance damper is weak at high speed cornering.
The car will get 4 new Tires (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S), if any of you know where i can get my hand on a 18x8 chrome or 18x8.5 in decent shape. I would be appreciated.
anyway over last weekend i meet up with a fellow KBP owner and i have to say, these car still turn head. We immediately notice the amount of attention we crated lmao.

its never match and never will, the hole pattern and size will be off. Not to mentioned that stupid dark bronze color of the oem insert so dam hard to match. I end up order just the bottom piece to see how thing turn out.
its turn out pretty DOPE it match about 98.99%, i guess i am gonna order the rest of the interior seat cover.
This post makes me want to cancel the sale of mine...
I may clean it up, enjoy it some more and the relist with a firm price.

Well after reading through this whole post, I definitely will replace my 1993 Legend with a another TL. My NBP 6 spd MT needs a twin. I was looking for a Lexus IS F as a daily, but I 'll just find another TL and keep it alive

Funny that you mentioned about the Lexus, I almost pulling a trigger on a 2010 USB ISF. If the KBP seller tell me the car gonna sell for higher price than asking price. BTW I used to have a 91 Legend LS sedan black in black MT lol.

Nice! I actually bought the car off of Tyson Hugie's brother. It was my daily (Legend)for a min., but I need something more modern and want the legend to go to a good home. I've always wanted a TL Type-S since the 01-02 models, but we all know the catastrophic failure of those lol. One day I saw a NBP TL-S on the freeway. That was it! Soon I'll be looking for a silver or white AT TL-S as a daily. Give 6 spd a break on daily duties. lol

Because it reliable as Honda and the corporates customer service is way beyond better than Honda/Acura you ever find, Toyota decided to do a voluntary recall on the 2006-2012 Lexus for dash and door panel replacement because they all melt in the warm climate, yes for FREE of charge. The dealer just put an end to the dash replacement spree by inspect them prior giving a green light because people drop their poop box in for replacement and later part out for profit.
If you call Acura customer service relation line they be like "3G TL has dash crack issue? no sorry about your dash but that ultra super uncommon".
On top of that the new RDX build quality isn't exactly as great either, If you ever get a chance spend a day or two in a Lexus and you will see my point. Its not the options or feature, its the build quality... The only car that Acura made ever had that similar build quality is the RL/RLX but those car never popular among the general public.

The things is I am here since these car was brand new and it does bring a lot of bad/good memories. I guess one day I just snap out of it, at the end of the day I need to move on... beside the 3G TL community now isn't what it used to be, people moaning and complaining about $120 part is "too expensive" I rarely run across some one that has enthusiast mind. The one that here still have their TL doing the same thing as me that we all lone wolf now.
don't worry I will be keeping at least 2 TL but other will have to go.... as far as YT it require a lot of time for editing and some decent investment to filming equipment. I work loooong hours and having a family that not feasible for YT channel, may be one day I will starting a YT channel.

But it's not the only car out there.
The TL performance was good in 04-08 only after the BMW M3 (E46/E92) and 335i, however by today performance standard our TL is slow as Civic. May be just because I live in an area where everyone into Hell Cat and Demon, then we have Viper club....
I recall having my badass black TL that was so fast with modifications and stuff
and this bitch in a pathfinder cut me off and i wanted to pull up next to her to give her a
piece of my mind and mannnn that bitch punched it and i could barely keep up.
I was like, man...does she she have an intake and resonator delete too?
I had some day off from work last week, I been working 65+ hours since the Covid outbreak lmao... I was gonna take the car so the Aspec wheel can go on on the car, however upon my inspection of the undercarriage. I discover that the lower ball joints dust boot is completely GONE and bare metal are showing, luckily I had some spare OEM lower ball joint that was meant for the MRP TL years ago.
Also whoever did the brake job on this KBP is an A$$ hat... the two pin almost pop out so I had to punch them back in. So much for the plan getting wheel on, oh well maintenance come first...
With no time to spare on hand the car goes back the dealer for ball joint replacement, along with motor/ trans mounts and engine damper (all OEM parts) the front end feel more solid and responsive than before. Next going on the car should be the Aspec wheel, also I able to collect a few more goodies that will be soon install to the car as well. Enjoys the pics

The filter supply stash goes low so I order 20x more to "restock" this should let me be set until 2024.

VIP parking spot, apparently the car attract alot of attention. From Sale, service writer, parts, customer and Tech compliment how nice it looks despite the age (mine are far from being nice like @04WDPSeDaN or white Turd belong to @sockr1. Some even come out and snap picture, some customer said "I though the Type S not released yet" lmao....
Bunch of young Techs ran over with initial thought its typical auto trans, one of the techs starting to talking shit. Oh how his (stock except being slam) Base 6spd has better gear ratio and how they was ultra super rare with Brembo brake blah blah blah.....
I pretend that the car wasn't even belong to me lmao, Master Techs ( who solely work on all of my car also my friend) later show him the interior and all the young buck said "holly shit, its 6spd in that rare Blue". I turn to the young guy said KBP is the color. He asked "what is that mean" lol, I said Kinetic Blue Pearl....
I then ask the young buck "what is 6spd?" The master tech chuckles and let the kid know that I own a 6spd Base as well. needless to say I just gave the young guy "cool story bro"....
