Gf is always making fun of me because of how much I love my 3g nbp type s. Seeing this makes me feel way better about it. Your tl's look beautiful, great job maintaining them all!
It wasn't a link...
it was the CF piece's part number...
I went by Acura today...they searched Nationwide for that and the newer part number and neither one is in inventory anymore.

I already bought the rear piece, I just haven't install it yet since I am waiting for to find the front one used or someone had them sit around for like forever. On my MRP I have both piece since I bought the accessory back in the 2012.
I ran the part number for the rear CF piece, its show 8 pcs left in the USA. If you want it then order it now before its all gone....
I was at the Acura dealership in the back with the parts manager that looked up my part number along with the variation of it that is 202D or something and
it showed that NONE are available at all to be ordered.
Yes I bought a set that is new, its just happened the day prior fly to Kansas City to buy the KBP a local guy had it for years and decide not to install into his Type S.
Small update, I had been lazy lately lol. There are thing that need to be done in the KBP before I can address the interior, beside this economy is suck ball do to COVID shit.
Every single 3G TL item after 100k miles, PS steering pump leaks on the by pass valve and back plate where four 10 mm bolt.
side engine mount bracket has to come off in order you can access the 12 mm bolt on the under side.
After I tab the shaft and bearing out the PS pump housing, there are 1 seal that that sit right after the bearing. I always replace bearing with a new bearing, this way the PS won't make noise anymore. As you can see the score against the outter track, this is corrosion from winter salt.
Before anyone ask why I got brick? lol I don't have a good working vise so no vise no problem. @sockr1 I told you so bruh, I can do back yard mechanic and still better than "pro" at the shop. BTW that is my son feet in the picture at this time my hand was covered in dirty PS fluid. Careful on the machine surface as this surface is seal against the big half loop o-ring, this part is soft metal so be extra cautious or you will end up with a leaking pump.
after completion of replace bearing, O-rings and re-assemble together torque everything down to specs, I flush the entire PS system with 5 bottles of Honda PS fluid. I had 2 big case (40 bottles) PS fluid at the house. Take the car for a test drive and double check for leaks, as you can see there is no leaks present so I can call it done.
Take the car to do some groceries shopping, its looks too dam good and turn so many head.
On the trip to my local Costco, holy shiat no more paper towel/ bath tissue. WTF is wrong with these people?
Before all the online cop chime in that I am speeding. No Texas has some section that speed limit is 80 mph.
I bought a new set of floor matt hoping that I was able to save the old one until it all rip, and bring out the new one. However upon vacuuming the driver side there are ton of fine sand everywhere like this car belong to the dessert. So I went and give the car a new set of OEM carpet floor mat.
I take my quarantine time to source all of my OEM part collection over the years lmao.
More shits in the closet lmao.
Everyone laugh but these are a set of brand new Type S radio trim piece I pick up a while back on FB market place, the guy was convert his 05 MT into Type S interior but the car got flooded so I pick these up for cheap. $175 for this set, at the time Delray wanted $175 each.
more parts lmao, the brown spot is actually dry wood glue.
I manage to snag up a 04-08 Base Aspec rear lip in WDP again for cheap lol. The guy was in the middle convert his AT base into MT and gave up midway, so I snatch these up for dirt cheap (even cheaper than Ebay duraflex one)
Can you sport the difference before and after?
BEFORE
AFTER
OEM rubber floor mats is transferred from the SSM TL, this will mark its 3rd home and serving nothing but MT 3G TL. I pick these up from mr Evilvirus here locally and yes the dash and seat will get address once all the mechanical imperfection being iron out.
I guess there is one good thing about COVID19 lol, I didn't believe the display until Rockstar143 got similar mileage.
Social distancing practice at its finest.
I took advantage of good weather and took both of the Type Slow out the garage for some picture shot. These two color compliment each other great tho.
don't mind the pollen, I wash the MRP prior to that and didn't drive it since.
Don't worry I do drive the MRP too, I just realize I am now capable of going 42k miles and 6 years without oil change lmao.
MRP cut off line with Osram CBB in stock headlight housing.
Comparing with my KBP which has one Depo headlight I am surprise how sharp the cut off line is.
Dam its looks so good, even in the rain lol.

Dang... I'm usually up to 87 or 88 before I'm crusing at 2800 RPMs... Usually at about 96 before hitting 3K even...
Uh... Otherwise that car is blue hot as a MF'er!!!
The 6spd really have close ratio compare to the 5AAT counter part, every time I cruise in the MT I always though I have another gear to shift into lol. Even in 6th the car just want to accelerate to the redline.
It helps keep hot engine air from the oem intake.
I actually think I have that in a box somewhere.
that and it keep majority of water out the intake resonator box below. The PO had the fender replaced and the body shop just tossing shit out, you remind me of crab boi he going for weight extreme weight reduction. Last time when we get together he realize the bumper exhaust cover had been falling off some time

You spot only ONE out of TWO change in that picture lol.
What up with the 2 different shades of waffles on the MRP?
Yes, sadly I found it out the hard way as shorty after I bought the MRP realize one of the wheel is slightly bent there fore annoying vibration around 60 - 75 mph. I try to find one or a set of used back in 2012 and pretty much everyone asking for $1k (because they are Type S).
So I order 1 wheel from Delray Acura and never thinking its has different shade of gun metal grey (from Honda what could go wrong), long story short I could do with the different shade but traded for smooth ride. I still have the slight bent wheel may be one day I will send the whole set out to get refinish and use the darker shade as full spare. Upon bringing the KBP home I am now realize I have all 3 shades of OEM waffle and why Honda has 3 difference shade lol.....

6th is so easy to pass on the highway. You can also push it into 4th (even 3rd) to really get that passing power (fun) on the highway and the engine sounds so nice at each 3rd and 4th gear VTEC redline. 4th will quickly top out at 120mph before you know it. In the rain, you also notice the LSD. I bet you're falling in love all over again with the Type S with the 6MT.
If you haven't done so yet, the slave delay valve and synchromesh fluid is a must.

Yes Synchromesh FM fluid already done once I got the car, its the 1st item to get replaced on both of my MT TL. Delay valve can wait until whenever the slave cylinder goes bad as the heavy dual mass flywheel and CMC doesn't help, rarely I ever get on it and power shift lol.
With all of that being said, I hit the rev limiter quite often in 4th gear. Particularly in sharp turn on on-ramp/interchange (couple guy in the charger scat pack got irritate that I right behind them in corner and flashing my beam) and this is done with a broken rear end link and crappy all season tires. I haven't drive the car quite enough in the rain but notice the front wheel tend to keep better traction during full throttle cornering (my old Lexus IS300 had LSD as well).
I hit the rev limiter in 4th gear thinking something wrong with the car, only to realize shifting from 3rd to 4th only dropping 1500 rpm vs 2200 rpm in the AT the rev out to redline also faster as well. The problem with hitting 4th is that if you got clock my popo chance of you going get reckless driving is 110% lol. This car has 3rd stage exhaust mod (from previous owner) so it does sound louder than stock.

you mean every morning? coming from the Audi S and CTS-V this is the fun car for you, just floor the pedal and watch it turn.
been trying to figure out my next move on a car... Might just enjoy the truck while gas costs next to nothing!
Looks like you still got 1 foot in the TL-S if one pop up for reasonable pricing. Hell the KBP I show you about a year ago was decent price.

Not a bad choice...actually.
I was looking into the 2008 S4 4.2 V8 awhile back but realized German engineer decided oh timing chain never fail therefore we gonna put the chain tensioner in the back of the engine so when that loose tension you will have to drop the entire motor along with subframe. I am too broke to own anything that made in Germany lol.

dude, you have to pull the engine to even add wiper fluid. No biggy, swap the timing chain then.
