My brother and I have contracted a disease: Spoonitis

My brother has been diagnosed with Spoonitis. It's an extremely rare disease that doesn't have a cure. The culprit is the land of the rising sun. The carrier is by boat via the Pacific. The distribution point for the north american continent is located in California. I've contracted the disease, and it's visible with my work in the TL. Here is the result of this ongoing disease...!!

Info on the S2000 build:

Currently the mod list is as follows...
-Spoon taiyku front bumper
-Spoon rear bumper
-Spoon mooncraft hardtop
-Spoon titanium shift knob
-Tein flex coilovers
-17x9 Enkei RPF1
-Greddy EvoII exhaust
-Fujita CAI

Soon to be installed:
-Spoon radiator hoses
-Koyorad radiator
-Spoon radiator cap
-Spoon 4pot calipers
-Spoon rotors
-Spoon clutch
-Spoon flywheel
-Spoon rear diffuser
-Spoon front fenders
-Spoon hood
-Spoon rear overfenders
-Spoon snorkel air intake
-Spoon air box
-ASM exhaust manifold
-Hondata reflash

...that's all for now folks! Thanks for looking.

so sick man, i cant wait to see the other mods!!
..thanks! Me neither, it should look ridiculous when it's all said and done. I'll more than likely end up running off the road while gawking at it when we're cruising around.

damn eric! find me some 2G spoon/arc parts, yo!
haha Kiran, Where are you at now?...MD or CA?!

not my cup of tea on the s2000, but good work otherwise.
Fair enough, it's not for everyone.

is it contagious? .... lol

We're not sure if it's contagious, but there is evidence to suggest it's possible. The soft top is still in place, so however much the hood weighs added to the weight of the car. It's really light, i think it's made out of dry carbon. Looking at the rear of the car while behind it, the car is so unique looking i feel it almost looks like an exotic roadster of some sort. The fogs have a remote where he can turn them on with a little fob. The portholes are brake ducts. The oval opening near the tow hook is for the air intake.

oh and by the way... im sorry, but do you or your brother work at that honda dealer?? you STAY taking photos in front of that same building lol
haha we don't work there. It's right down the road and makes for a pretty cool shoot, so i figured i'd revisit the spot now that he's done some work to the S2000.

lol what do you guys do to be able to afford all this T.T

i'm digging the Spoon rear, is there anyway to hike up the exhaust and balance the bottom with a custom CF diffuser? kinda like the hardcore GT2/N-GT or the GT300 cars...dunno if that would end up being just dead weight or if it would benefit later on. How hardcore is your bro gonna go with the tuning? i mean so far it's been looks and some basic bolt ons. how hardcore you gonna go on the AP1? (can't wait to see the end results) 9000 rpm or is it 8200 rpm in the states?

either way it looks great!

I just saw some other of your pics[only the front/part of the top]. I just realized you have the color scheme I was planning on doing...
White TL, black hood-roof-and-trunk.. not sure if I should get the decklid spoiler in black .. or white as you did.
Also not sure if I should paint the entire hood black, where as you had it done till the curve begins.

Thanks to everyone for the comments!

Both cars are sick bro. Are you running the cooling system that shoots out mist of cold water into your intercooler? ( Forgot the name of it ).
Thanks! What you're seeing is the ring and solenoid that has yet to be connected to the bottle. It's the DEI cryogenics intercooler sprayer kit.

You know, it's funny, whenever I think "Oh, he's done, there isn't possibly anything else he can actually do to his TL", you post new pictures up with something baller done and make me drool some more The Varis Air Intake Duct looks hellllla good with that bumper though, for real!
Ballin... it's hard for me to stop! It's like a hobby i guess. The duct is made by titec i think.

that is a nice kit on the tl where can i purchase?
The front is the versus motorsports bumper, sides are a-spec, and the rear is the type S add on. Visit www.versusmotorsports.com to find the bumper. It's around $400 something shipped.

SON, when? I had no idea you really did the duct, DAYUM, THAT SHIT LOOOOOOKS PIMMMMMPEED
The credit for the duct idea all goes to you my man!

i'm digging the Spoon rear, is there anyway to hike up the exhaust and balance the bottom with a custom CF diffuser? kinda like the hardcore GT2/N-GT or the GT300 cars...dunno if that would end up being just dead weight or if it would benefit later on. (can't wait to see the end results) 9000 rpm or is it 8200 rpm in the states?
...he'll be happy to know someone digs the rear bumper. A lot of people are unsure of the styling on the rear, but if you ever get the chance to view it from the rear while driving behind the car it's amazing...you can see the coilovers and all the components under the car...pretty neat looking IMO. He will eventually have the spoon diffuser on the car, so it'll look even better once it arrives. As for motorwork, i'm not sure which route he'll go with it. Probably stay NA for a while.

I just saw some other of your pics[only the front/part of the top]. I just realized you have the color scheme I was planning on doing...

Also not sure if I should paint the entire hood black, where as you had it done till the curve begins.
It'll look good if you decide to go with a custom paint scheme. Look into the custom CSL style CF decklids being produced by ua6spec.

I was thinking about doing that and paint it to match my ASM. But I dont like the angle. Maybe if it was an oval or circle... I dunno. It just looks out of place to me still, and I've whored your pics at least a 100 times now while debating to do mine.

With my intake mod, it'll be a freaking true ram air.
