My 2008 KBP TL-S 6MT

Per request. Here is the 2008 TL Type-S A-Spec I found back in November. It had 60,000 miles and I bought it before the photos were uploaded to the web and site unseen as I was afraid someone on here would snatch it immediately once the pics were public. Once I received the pics and saw the condition and A-spec kit I called the wife and told her I had to have the car. She agreed.

I've known the MRP and KBPs are some of the rarest Type-S 6MTs and I had to have the unicorn and started my search after a trip to AZ in July. This car spent its first 3 years in Colorado, then 3 in Honolulu and 1 in Texas. Carfax showed all Acura maintenance at all 3 locations by the same owner. Whoever owned this detailed it and took excellent care of it overall. There are no swirl marks to be found and no scratches.

Only mods so far are the HID foglights, Class I hitch, and window tint. I may remove the mid-muffler in the spring. It has summer tires and will see no winter action until the spring rains clear the roads of salt and other garbage.
It now has 61,200 miles and its without a doubt the most awesome car I've owned and the power and performance with the 6MT is ridiculous!

The 4WS Prelude is for sale if anyone wants to take it off my hands.

Nice find! I would loose the door molding for a cleaner look

Forgive my ignorance. How exactly can the molding be removed?

Congrats 6 speed must be fun. I wanted a 6 speed but I'm always parked on the freeway so I had to get auto.

I've never seen the door moldings on a tl-s, must be an added option.

Nice car!! I would also lose the door molding haha

Look into the 6mt mods such as friction modified fluid, shifter bushings, short shifter, heavier knob, and slave cylinder check valve removal!

Enjoy

I'm used to the moulding now and I like the look it gives; especially on this color. I've read a lot about the fluid change and that's in the books for spring for sure. I haven't read about the bushings yet. I know about the clutch slave cyl but am ok with it for now. I don't flog the car in a way that I'll need that extra second of grab.

Plastic razor blades, dental floss, heat gun (since its just adhesive holding the molding on). Its the same method as when you debadge the rear except on the doors.

I've never debadged anything before, so I didn't know what was involved.

Absolutely gorgeous. My favorite color on perhaps any car, ever.

Moldings should stay. I like them in this case.

Congrats, Chris!

Looking amazing Chris! I'd keep the moldings too. I love the color as well and wanted one as soon as I saw the first one on the road back around 07. Reminds some of my old 93 accord SE coupe color but a bit darker blue

Beautiful car and congrats. I can appreciate a 6mt Type S and it's nice to know that there aren't too many around like it.

As for the moulding I personally would have that yanked off the day I got it home, but obviously its ur car and ur preference. I think it looks much cleaner without a random strip slapped on the side. It literally yanks right off. Work one of the edges out then just pull.
Interesting to see it has a tow hitch. I would imagine it's a little interesting towing something with a fwd stick shift car.

The manual specifically says not to tow anything with this car, so the hitch would only be good for something like a bike rack.

I'll be towing this on occasion. It won't hurt the car and it'll look sweet going down the road. I have 2 Seadoos on a double trailer that may get towed as well. But only about 10 miles back and forth from house to house. If the TL sees a boat ramp it'll only be with the Honda. There's a guy on AZ that tows skis long distance with no I'll effects. I just don't want to restrict all towing to my Sequoia and when we want to take all 3 skis out I need another hitch.

I understand clean but I like style and lines. I didn't buy a Jetta.

I love that the Honda jetski is the same color and I can't wait to see pics of it being towed by a KBP TL Type-S.
