What's up ACURAZINE!!??

My name is Evan and I just bought a silver 08 TL with only 63000km on it.

It sounds bad but I wanna say thanks to thieves because without them I would still have my old car :





She was still a work in progress, but was stolen right outside my work about a month ago. Not even the shell turned up.

I always wanted a TL because they are absolutely gorgeousss cars so I started browsing every second of the day to grab one. Now I'm happier than ever to own one!

She's wrapped in 18% tint all around and I've already starting tweaking her a bit. Dipped the side markers for now, but I'll most likely be going with some smoked replacements with white leds. Debadged the trunk and dipped the Acura emblem, and also bought a cheap smoked license plate cover. Tons more to come but here are some pics for now!

One thing I wouldn't do is the sidemarkers. By dipped I'm assuming you've plasti-dipped them. Doesn't that block out the light they give off?

If you're looking for smoked with white LED look for "fishcake123" on eBay or go on his site, Unique Style Racing.

yup as stated about they have type-s "look alike" side markers on ebay so you can get the OEM look.

And I hope you plasti dipped the front sidemarkers too in order to keep the look uniform.

Austin, the plasti dip makes the sidemarkers a very deep color but are still visible during the day and night.

Didn't even think about dipping the front marker since it already looks smoked, but I think I'll do that tomorrow. Dipping my grille and blacking out my tails tomorrow too!

More expensive mods will be done next summer when I get some money saved up. Right now I'm just focusing on cheap and easy mods. Ordered some LEDs for the DRLs, reverse lights and license plate.

HID fogs will follow in a bit.

I haven't been modding for like a month so I'm excited to get right to it with my new beauty

I'm pretty sure they grabbed it with a tow truck or flatbed and just drove off with it. The back entrance didn't have cameras so they just took it that way. It was a shitty situation at the time but I'm honestly happier than ever now because my TL is 1000 times better in every way. I park it righttttt infront of the owners office now so I don't risk this beauty getting stolen loool

 

So I figured it was about time to bump this and I guess make it my progress thread. I've done a decent amount of things to the car so I have a bunch of pics through the various stages. I'll start from stock and move to where it's at now. Hope you enjoy!













Just plugged the LED DRLs in without the harness so they look like this:

I don't have the DRL warning light on my dash though so I'm fine with it.

Backed up into a handrail, really close up there's a bunch of cracks that I attempted to cover up with some touch up paint. From far you can't notice it:

Nothing crazy has been done, but I'm basically completed the black and silver theme I was going for.

Lol thanks man. The accord was a work in progress and was basically practice for modding my TL haha.
Thanks man. Honestly the headlights were actually really easy and straight forward. I think the only way you could mess them up is if you keep them in the oven too long and actually melt them. 15 mins at 200 degrees was the perfect amount of time for mine. I left the first one in for like 12 mins and ended up having to put it back in cause I couldn't separate it. Just take your time and you'll be fine

Thanks man! I haven't actually thought about wrapping but that's a good idea. My center bar has a base coat of plasti dip so I'm not too worried about chipping. It's held up really good so far. But lol yep I was trying out a bunch of different styles. I'm still not finished it haha
