that looks huuuge. how much bigger is it compared to the stock one?

i've been scratching teh top of my shift knob with my ring (tungsten... it'll scratch pretty much anything)... maybe i should switch to a leather topped one. how comfy is the grip?

It is bigger in the top area, but that is the design of the knob. It is about 1 inch taller than stock.

I like it better than stock because my hands as bigger, and with it being 1 inch taller, I rest my hand on it ... It also feels really solid. It looks much bigger in pictures than it does in real life.

I will snap a few pics during lunch with the stock shifter next to the Momo ... expect pics in a few hours ...

That's a nice looking shift knob and at a great price too. I was looking at the Acura wooden shift knob but they want around $100 for it.

Thanks ... comparison pics:

The difference is that the stock know fit's lower on the shifter than the after market one ... making the difference in height ... the design of the EvoF16 makes it look bigger too

Good looking but I'm not feeling it. I like the stock one much better!

Thats cool ... one of my friends said the same ... he liked it better stock ... the funny thing is ... that he has a 04 TL w/ Ebony interior + burlwood knob ... which I find ugly ... the only wood thing in the car is the shift knob ...

Like people have said ... to each his own ... and this is one of those simple mods that can be reversed in about 10 minutes ... but I will say 1 thing ... it does feel a whole lot more solid than the factory knob.

OEM looks better the aftermarket one does not seem to flow w/the interior; to each his own...

You might want to consider replacing the black metal ring at the base of your new shiftknob with a brushed aluminum one, also made by Momo. It'll make your new shiftknob blend in with the stem much better.
