Dan, I don't think I have seen you/the car since CanAm.....seems so long ago that we did those cruises.
Definitely need to put something like that together again.
Impressive progress with the car, despite the numerous unfortunate events.
Will have to keep checking back to see what is new.

Well.. That's a lie. I removed it a few months ago. It was a sad day.
We should definitely set something up again! The closest thing to CanAm these days is the national azine meet in the states.
And... It was actually a decent amount of time ago when I think about it. CanAm died off in like... '11ish?
How you been man?
Trying to remember your car... Blue 2G? Can't remember if I got the user+car matched up right now. It's been a long while, but I do remember the small 2G community we had in the GTA (from TAC/6GAccords and Azine).

I had the sticker on my Accord (02 SSM sedan) for many years after as well.
It was great, I would be up for a US meet, so will have to keep an eye out for that.
Definitely want to set something up for here again as well, once my car is presentable.
Yeah, last CanAm was a small scale event in 2011, that was on the US side, but not a huge turnout.
If we got something like the 2009/2010 Event, then it would be a good one. Not sure that there would be many Accords/Acuras, but whatever, the more people that come out, the better!

I recall your name a lot on TAC. You were an admin if I recall... Derek?
And yeah I'd definitely be up for a cruise or something stateside (time permitting)

So I took a look at the cutting job I did this morning...
Gotta clean up the lines a little but I'm definitely liking it a lot more than last night (probably due to the lighting causing it to be very black where I cut it---last night I was able to see through it and thus see the floor)
Don't worry about the grille. Fixed that issue (paint doesn't adhere to it very well).

I think there is some interest in getting something together, so, I think it will happen for local acuraziner's, and then whatever is happening stateside as well.
I know I definately want to do that.

There was interest last year and the year before. Quite a few of us really want to meet up with the folks down south. The best thing to do is to try to coordinate with the people from Ohio. There's a large group of members there and it's just south of the Ontario border.

My buddy sent me this pic of my special order earlier today. Picking them up this weekend.

Sad to say but I actually haven't bought brand new tires in a few years... Always got used ones for free at work. The last time I bought brand new tires were my winter tires 3 years back. So... this feels good. Now just gotta wait another week for the new rims.
Side note: With my current suspension set up... These won't fit (rather---they won't clear my fenders) on my current wheels or my next wheels.

Woot!
Danny boy!
I wanted to tell you, was gonna in my thread but figured maybe you wouldn't see it. Don't feel stupid, I read up on which of the skunk drain plugs goes in oil and it said somewhere, the short one. Well low and behold went to pop the long one in transmission last night, no fuckin way...so they had it wrong. Guess I'll swap them at the next oil change and swap the tranny one at the next transmission fluid change in 30K.

In retrospect I should've told you which plug goes in which hole. Sorry J
But... At least we know yours was also too long for the hole as well? :p

All good, brother!
Mine is big too!
Well, I realized it before tightening so it didn't break off...and I also noticed before I got into the transmission but I wasn't about to drain out brand new oil...although in retrospect I could have drained into a container then put back in...but I decided I'd just swap next oil change!

Lucky it didn't break! Saves you $30 or so for other mods

Yes, I guess I should look at it that way!
Well, I did say that when I sold the black car, I'd consider Flash-Pro...
but the axles set me back a bit...
but I may still do some digging on that.
I have to admit that my interest is piqued at how different the car would be.

Went to Toronto last weekend to see Above & Beyond Acoustic. Was an amazing show.
Was also there to pick up my tires... I have a box of general things in my trunk and I couldn't get one single tire in there. Tossed all four in the back... they barely fit too.
We had this wicked storm on the way home:
Also... it was actually snowing AND hailing on the 15th. It was bizarre!
On the way home... I hit 275,000KMs at exactly midnight of the 16th. I was monitoring it at 274,960... but then checked a moment too late to get a nice pic
And then... finally... these came in on Tuesday.
I've since attached those to my rear diffuser that I have to redo due to proportions being messed up since I last worked on it... a year and half+ ago.
I've also got word yesterday (Friday 20th) that my wheels have been stuck at the border for the last four days. So it's either I get it shipped free of charge to my address or I go pick it up next week.
On the bright side... my new coil overs came in. I'll need to find time to install those.

I'm doing a thing...
So much cutting...
Good thing I have 2 sets of spare headlight/parts.
There's still aiming and mounting to do... I spent maybe 5 hours just cutting and trying to figure out how to make this thing fit in the first place.
Annnd... about to leave to Toronto to pick up my new wheels. It'll be a while before I can actually drive around with them though.
I feel like doing an unboxing video of them :p

Hahah hmmm... It half counts? :p
But hey man... KBP (and TL-S) is a beautiful color!
Also... Just picked up my wheels. It's missing my order of replacement valves though (someone stole two of my NT03+m valve caps).
Unboxing and teaser photos coming soon...

Well.. if you said so then I guess have no choice!
New lugs for the new wheels:
You can kind of see the concavity of it here:
Also for any Canadians out there...
I found a Honda OEM coin holder that fits Twonies (Toonies?) and Loonies (but no quarters). It's a bit bigger than our stock one... but I'm going to mould it together with the TL's coin holder anyway

And you're right. No point in these wheels if you get them in the F-Face.
It's either I pull fenders or I do some kind of body work. Most likely the latter since I'm running 285/40 on them.

And 285/40 on 18x9.5 +27 was just touching. So hopefully it won't be too much more work on the 10.5+15... Just need like 1.5" of body work... Or so.
