someone recommended me to have metallic tint on my 07-type s TL. otherwise it will interfere the navigation reception. is that true?

There are a bunch of threads already on this topic.

However, the short answer is: the Acura Navi owner's manual says that metallic tint on the back window will degrade the performance of the Nav system (some say the AM radio also).

Read the threads but the consensus is that ceramic tint is the choice to be safe.

Cheaper, dyed tint is available and is non-metallic but it will turn purple after a while.
