If anyone wants to post pics of his/her ride on a public forum he/she needs to be prepared for feedbacks - both positives and negatives.
In his case, mostly negatives because most people feel very strongly about putting a badge where it does not belong.
If I post a picture of my A4 with RS4 badge on it on an Audi board I can gurantee people there would tear me a new one. I say this guy got off pretty easy.

you people are stupid. whats wrong with having the badge? a lot of you have the type-s taillights , so aint you guys the type-s wannabes?
another thing i want to point out is that people think it is okay to put a HONDA emblem on an acura because it is made by honda. i wonder what would people think when others put an ACURA emblem on their civics or whatever honda.

The concensus seems to be unanimous,
putting Type S tail lights is more of a style choice, putting the badge on is just trying to be something you are not,(misrepresentation)

LOLA's owner is a New Yorker, so I think he can handle all the negative feedbacks...FYI i saw an old toyota tercel with BMW logos and a 325i badge; so putting an "S" badge on a TL is not a big deal, ryt? peace

the type-s badge is awesome in my opinion because it represents the performance model......unfortunatly your car definatly does not deserve it, it's a tl-p, not tl-s....sorry, just my $0.02 no matter what it's a type-s wanna bee, it'll never be a type-s unless you got a crap load of money to change out everything from the dashboard to the motor to the suspension to the rims to the bumpers, etc.....

Maybe he intends to install the Comptech Supercharger, and the S in the badge stands for Supercharged...which should wax a TypeS TL.

i personally think it would be funny to pull up to a regular tl with a type s badge on it. think i will teach him to pose then hear the supercharger wine as he waxes me.....
