Matt, I would suggest you measure the gap between the tire and the fender....
this will allow you to run the right spacer....since KJ's and your camber setting might be different, what worked for him might not work for you....catch my drift?
PS: KJ in no way am dissing your setup....your car looks fantastic, am just saying he should measure it and decide....just wanted to make it clear before we get into a pissing contest
for a "brand" of spacer, ICHIBA is the usual choice around here....also if you are going with 15mm, I would recommend, getting longer studs rather than a bolt on type spacer....

Swoosh, no harm taken, your route is definitely the "correct" and professional approach, no doubt about it. I instead just talked with other members to see what they had run, and hoped it would work on mine as well. If you have a camber kit, you can do what is necessary as well I suppose to fit them. It's really not all that aggressive tho.
Also - I went with black anodized Akatas, both V2 (bolt-on) from eBay. I would say these are the other go-to spacer on teh boards, and I had no issues with them, much cheaper too. I'm still using the 15 up front to clear my brembos.

Hey guys, looking into type s tails. Do these look okay? Or are they just a no name set with lower quality. They don't say DEPO or anything, but they are apparently DOT and SAE approved.
Just found these:
It's a depo pair, right? Seems like a good deal.

are you looking for OEM or Depo?
Also if you want the blacked out ones, you can hit up USR (unique style racing)...he is a vendor on here and goes by fishcake321 on ebay....GREAT SELLER !!!

I'm looking for good quality, but not too expensive. So that led me to the DEPO tails.
Also, I'm looking more at the regular type s tails, as I want to keep the car looking subtle. USR is definitely good, and I've ordered from him before, but I didn't see any of just the regular type s tails on his site. I stumbled across this package:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/FREE-SHIP-04-08-ACURA-TL-TYPE-S-SMOKE-SIDE-MARKER-TAIL-LIGHT-TYPE-S-TL-S-/171056564603?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AAcura%7CModel%3ATL&hash=item27d3c4097b&vxp=mtr
But I like the look of the all white side markers. I've got to take blinking of the side markers into consideration as well.
Decisions, decisions...

White LED side markers look clean as hell, so I'd definitely suggest getting them. I don't know about the switchback sidemarkers though. I personally wouldn't want 5 lights blinking at the same time on my car, but that's just me.
You're right, man. I was under the impression that our stock side markers blinked all this time, but they don't lol. That settles it, I'm getting the white side markers!
But can any of you guys confirm that the second type s tails that I posted from Amazon are DEPO? I'd like to go that route.

^^^ i agree you dont want to look like a Christmas tree while blinking....
I think for the models with blinkers on the mirror, you should get the while LED sidemarkers and the Type S tails....

That was after they plowed and shoveled the lot the morning after lol. That doesn't compare to the 3ft of snow we received later in the year lol.
Hey guys! It's been awhile since I've made an update, so I'm back with some pics.
Installed USR sidemarkers and painted the wheels black:

Got Depo Type S tails in:

Got a black/carbon fiber shift knob:

Blacked out the headlights and grill with some buddies:

Aspec front lip on:

Aspec rear on:

To be continued...
I'm thinking up next will be inspire fogs. Still deciding on which wheels I want. So many great options and looks to go for.

It's starting to turn more heads locally. But I need more, to give it more personality lol.
Quick shot while getting bubble tea:

Update: Brought the car to my cousin's to investigate the never ending clunking again. It's probably been 5 times now that we've had it on the lift and tried to locate the source in the front driver side. We've speculated so many things, ranging from engine mounts, tranny mount, top hat, upper control arm, end links, bushings, etc, but could never pin point it. We always ruled out a blown shock because of no leaking or sagging, and the fact that the strut seemed to be in good condition. Alas today, we took the strut out to examine it one last time and what do you know? Blown shock with lots of play.
At this point, I'm undecided on what route I'm going to take. I've thought about buying a new shock, but for $130..
Also, I feel that the other shocks are probably on their way out as well, as I'm approaching 100k, so what's the point. Which leads me to the idea of just getting coilovers.
Two options I have in mind are the HT-Spec Version 2.0 and Tein Street Basis. Any input guys? I just want the feel of my Acura back.

Summer classes have been killing me with work in between. I've been watching my cousin's progress on his wrx hatch since I've not had any time to do things to the TL. Until..he got a set of xxr 531s. I was instantly envious and wanted them. Good thing for me, my cousin can never sit still and is always changing his setup. Left me with a sweet deal.

The clunk could be the UCA/ball joint smashing into the strut tower above it since the blown shock has more travel.
Between those two coilovers, I would go for the TEINs. However, I would suggest saving for a set that have damping adjustment so you can change the stiffness.

I guess getting coils would kill two birds with one stone. You're right, I think I'll save up for a set with adjustable damping. I don't want to cheap out on suspension again. I'll probably just pick up a local shock for $40 for now, until I save up and decide on something.
Thanks swoosh! Lol try it with aloe or grass jelly!
