The Machine's Acura TL/Supercharged S2000 Build Thread Updated 3/13/16
Hey guys, I guess I could possibly use this as a progress thread, but all in all I don't plan on doing too much to the car. I just want to keep it nice, simple, and clean. Right now as it sits it's basically stock aside from the yellow fog overlays and 5% tint all around. Mods planned for the future are rims, coilovers, possibly clearing the headlights, and painting the calipers (most likely black). When things are all said and done with the mods, I would actually like to have some real photography done, so I can finally have some nice pics of my car instead of just point and shoot ones. So if anyone knows any good photographers in the SJ area, I'll be interested to see their work. So with out delay here are the pics:

Well I figure tint on the front is tint on the front and if you're going to get a ticket for it, it makes no difference if it's 5% or 30% it costs the same price. I have FOP cards anyway so if I get pulled over I use those, lol.

Nice looking ride, Machine. Of course, I said the same thing about my car too....until I got on this site. I wasn't planning on doing much more than tints and wheels (maybe).
Now, my car is 4 years old (to me) today (New Years Day) and look at all the stuff I've done to it.....

Hey Steven in your list of mods you have listed shaved door handles, cOuld I get a pic of this? Do you mean just a filler for the key hole or did you actually shave off your door handles?

Here you go Callahan. This is a simple purchase of the smaller portion of the handle on the back door and putting it on the front door handle.

Super clean! Can't wait to see it with the coilovers on. Better start saving up for front/rear camber kits as well. My tire wear is off the charts bad. I'll do a shoot of your car when it's all done...you gotta drive up here though.

Yeah, I'm so eager for spring so I can get these coilovers and rims on my car. Getting my Aspec kit put on this weekend as well as having my headlights cleared, painted and put in. I was thinking of getting a camber kit for at least the rear, but I've been reading a lot about it and a lot of people say with a 2 inch drop or above it's not extremely necessary, but knowing me I'll buy both front and rear kits to be on the safe side . I want good pics done of my car too when all is said and done. I suck with camera, lol.

I've been pretty lucky so far. Usually if I see one parked I'll roll down my window like half way so they just think I'm smoke (which I don't) by why else would I have my window down when it's cold out, lol. Even so the ones here in south jersey aren't too bad about it. I also have about 5 FOP cards on me so I'll use them if I get pulled over. My theory about tint is, if it's illegal to have it on the front windows might as well be dark because the ticket costs the same as if you have a higher percent tint on.

Ok so I got everything installed today and I just want to say thanks to ACKTL05 for doing the install and headlights for me! I'll take some better pics tomorrow when it's light out. Now I'm dying to get my coilovers and rims put on to complete the look!

Here's a couple overall pics. I know they have a blue tint to them. I used a different setting on the camera so the flash wouldn't be so noticeable when it went off. I can't wait until everything is done so I can get some real ones done.

I wish Spring would get here already though I can't say it hasn't felt like it all "winter." I already have rims and tires waiting here to go on. I just have to wait for the group buy from XLR8 to end and the initial order to be placed for the coilovers I'm getting and I'm all set. Should have everything done by the end of March early April. Only thing I'm debating is taking off the yellow overlays, but I'm going to wait until everything is all done before I decide whether to leave them on or not.
