They would have looked better if they were flush, and if the bumper was cut precisely.

I think he's right. Or, if you can come across a couple hundred dollars, the TL-S rear A-Spec trim piece might be beneficial here. It just looks "half-done", like you ran out of time and money.

i like the tips, but the quality of the work done is kinda "ehhhh." the lines you cut on the bumper aren't flush with the tips. i admire the effort though..

OP what if you reposition the tips a little bit? Perhaps bending the pipe at about a 10 degree angle on each side or something?

I'll add CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM instead of making you feel bad.

I just looks a little weird since it doesnt have the Type-S rear bumper and you had to cut and add those black rubber things. Rodneys just looks a little cleaner since its MOLDED into the bumper, just make sure next time you do it blue print it right bud.

Good idea but the execution isnt right, as others have suggested, get a type S rear under body spoiler and have a good body shop install it and mold it properly. I know it looks good from far but if you have gone this far might as well do it right . Keep us posted.

Did you really use black door edge trim from Autozone on the edge of the bumper around the tips?

Really?

Hey man... You tried... not the best execution but at least you can say that you did it yourself... it takes balls to do such a mod yourself. You liv eand you learn from it... next time it'll come out a little better... but the important thing it that you're happy with it... and that's all that matters...

I think the tips would look good if the install was a little more carefully done. Things don't look evenly cut, flush or properly shaped. I would say pull them and have a body shop take care of the install. Not a bad idea though. Props for trying something different. Guys on here think that if it's not something you can buy from the Acura dealer, you shouldn't do it. That's why their cars all look the same.

Additionally... it's not the individual ingridients that makes a car hot... it's the complete recipe... You have to support one mod with another and let them all compliment themselves...

No, I think that you shouldn't use Autozone door edge trim to cover up the jagged and uneven dremel cuts you make in your exhaust cutouts.

There is a world of difference between thinking outside the box (rodney) and the hack-job represented in this thread.

People need to remember that it's NOT a sin to dislike something. Failure to reply with "good job dude awesome mod" doesn't make someone a "hater", it means they have their own sense of taste and style and don't like what they see. If the OP likes his car and this mod that's all that matters at the end of the day. But posting pictures of a mod is saying "Come and see my mod, and tell me what you think of it" - positive and negative.

Ummm I have to say...the idea itself was good...I saw another car on here that has those same tips on azine...but the other guys looks good...no offense but the work done looks terrible...I have to say def. To try and clean those sloppy cuts up and rethink the process!!! Good idea though...the execution sucks.

tips = fail
rims = fail
brakes = fail

personal opinion: type-s rear lip, paint calipers black, and get new rims and your car will look 10000000x cleaner.

Honestly, I would shake my head if I saw your car out and about, BUT I have to say you're trying to be different. The thing about being different is it costs money, takes time, and everyone will know you and your car so you have to do it right. I'm not a fan of the rims either, but thats not what you asked about...

Agree with this. The Type-S A-Spec would probably go very well with this. Just check the measurements before you buy.
When I saw Rodney's tips, I thought they were the hottest thing going. They looked real nice. I think you can save this effort with a little more $$$.

Looks like crap on your car no offense. You need a lot more bodywork to make that fit not just put it in the factory holes which are complete diff shape. Just from what I see.

man.....TL is a very very sensitive car....a little could make it a lot worse....

LED's in front for example....some people pull it off perfectly.....and same for the tips....heck a spoiler can make ur car look really bad but if executed well it will make ur car look bad ass !!!

the tips are good but the execution was a little off....i would pay a professional body shop to get it redone....i think you would like it a lot more too.....
