License plate LED

So what is everyone using for their license plate lights? my original that i bought ( Supernova's) bout a year ago from autolumination blew out and ordered the same ones but unfortunally got the one with the bright white with yellow halo. ew. so now my TL's ass look cheap. very cheap. the previous Supernova's i had before was the bright white with blue halo <---sexy aSsss

I R thinking about these 6k rated LED from v-leds.com
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/C...81133-1-2.html

was wondering if anyone here has a pic of their car with these showing? and if it does have that bluish tint to the white.

thanks in advance!

I dont have any pics as of right this moment of just the plate LEDs themselves i have this pic which is the reverse and plate but you can see the color blue they shine... and the multi LED bulb in that link works best i think it covers a bit more area than just a single LED shining on the plate.

does it give off the blue halo effect? because ive contacted them and said they come in the yellow halo and blue but dont know which before they ship it out making me not want to take that risk for the third time and landing on a pair with yellow halo. ill take a pic later when its darker of my replacement....

Didn't know there was a difference. Mine look somewhat blue. In fact, if you drive home tonight and see a Lexus IS driving down the road, my LED's look identical.

Gerzand has these leds from vleds and they are HOT. I saw them tonight and they are definitely a pure white and extremely bright. If one of my license plate lights burn out I'm going with these. 105 lumens each!!

Hey ttribe, I live in Anthem AZ and just bought my 2006 TL Black. I love it. How long have you had these? I've wondered about the freaking 108-115 degrees we have here. Also, I bought some of these when I had an 06 E90 and I had constant errors on my dash. Any words for a fellow desert TL runner?

I've actually had my LED's for 2 years now without a single problem.

yes it does. was going to order the one from my first post but they were out of stock. ROAR

now another issue relating to the lights are that they flicker? but only one side my right side? my friend was following me home and told me that while going over some bumps here and there on the road my right license plate light flicker on and off, and when i parked my car i looked at it and its out. then doing some unlock and lock clicks on my fob it sometimes come back on while the rest it just goes out...Anyone out there would know whats wrong with my right side?? maybe its a connector issue?

this gets on my nerves lol, but yeah it did happen to my very first set from autolumination but taht was after like 11months of use from it..guess it paid off, but if its the connector issue or the wires from the led being loose then would need to do some experimenting tmr...

Update:

so i took out the led from my right side and thought that it was my connectors from the harness to the where the light socket is but switched it with the other side and it was working...now that leads me with the LEd i took out. i played around with the metal wire on each side of the LED that makes contact with the socket but neither time it worked, even if i flip it over. was going on this for like 30 mins. joy, then took out my left side LED and placed it into the right socket and that fired up. whcih leads to one conclusion. the metal wire contact is cheap and will become lose over time if not placed properly in that socket. so right now i only got one light going.GG

awaiting on my v-led LEDs now. hopefully they will be better.

my 6k single LED w/heatsink is on its way and cant wait to replace this crappy set i got now. lol jimbo we need to meet up and compare haha. and the clip is pretty easy...if you get your lining slighy off so taht u have access to the side ( you looking from the side and see the clip) you can use a screwdriver/Philips head to give it a push in till it pops and just take it out.

dont you go to the same university as me? im working all the time this summer so i barely have time to do anything. but when school starts ill have more time to go out and such. when i took the clip off i took it by hand because i didnt want to break it and i realized all i had to do was pull it out at an angle.
