Whats up guys im new here i have a 08 tl type-s automatic with 27000 miles i modded the looks of the car a little bit lmk what u think about what i did so far .Summer mods are xlr8 coilovers an work vs xx 19 wheels gold face chrome lip

if thats what you like, then

the TL is a pretty car from the factory. the current paint scheme is a little weird and makes the car not so pretty any more. its a little too busy for my taste.

i think you should color match the rear spoiler to black, the front maybe paint it all the way down instead of leaving the white in the middle.

Nice car, but to be honest I think it would look a lot cleaner if you just left the roof wrapped, and remove all the other vinyl. It is your car, so if you like it, then keep it as is. The tails look good!

 

coming from someone who loves carbon fiber vinyl...you did a nice job with it, but it's just too much.

car looks too busy and looks cheap IMO. i would just di-noc the roof if you have to di-noc something. the door handles are meh...Type-S decals on bumper are meh...

i would get the aspec kit installed as well. THAT, and your new suspension/wheels will set off the car in a positive way.

you want to draw attention to yourself, but in a good way.

that is exactly how i had it but i got board so i decided to play with it thats y i didnt use paint

 

The "Type S" stickers on the front bumper just kill it for me. No offense, but those are just awful. I think time and money could have been better spent elsewhere...

Advice/Suggestion - Remove vinyl from front lip kit, front bumper, hood, rear trunk and the car will already look 10x better.

You can keep the vinyl on the door handles if you want... but the vinyl on the front lip, bumper, hood, and rear trunk has got to go. Please?

 

I agree with this guy. I think the hood/roof/trunk look kinda cool actually, but the front lip needs to go back to white.

I think its unique. What really matters is if you like it. Reminds me of the panda look i saw on a lot of WRX forums I used to be on.

I'm not much of a vinyl fan, but im definitely in the minority in this thread. Looks good to me, plus it's more original. Once you get done playing around with it you could just leave the roof wrapped if you like. I bet if your car was silver you'd get a totally different opinion from everyone.

 

too much is not always too good....but if you like it go for it....

its like starting out with a pair of tweezers to remove your uni-brow which is fine, but then you shape both the eye brow

The Type S is a gorgeous car stock, why ruin is by doing silly stuff to it like that? Basically if you un-do everything you did to that car it would be sooooo nice. A WDP Type S with aspec is sweet!!! Lose those headrest cover things too lol. I see them in there ;-)

Actually thats one thing I meant to say. The black roofs actually look very nice on the WDP TL's. I say peel everything off except the black roof and see how that looks.

I actually like that with exception to the "Type S" on the front bumper.

With regards to how it looks now, I dont like the vinyl on the hood and bumper but think the trunk looks OK... I think the trunk might look better if you vinyled the lip spoiler also.

Like others have said leave the roof black and loose the type s stickers and you will be money with the wheels you have picked and the drop

 

If u remove it from the bumper it will look nice
