Not a huge fan of silver but your car is money. Those pics also reassure me that dropping my type-s lip for base was a good call.

Lovin the car man!! Think you did great on the mod choices. Added to the car and made it look more classy instead of more ricey! Nice work!!

Wow man great shots! Such a clean car. Were the switchbacks hard to install? I want to clear my headlights this summer and put in some switchbacks but I'm hesitant because of the load resistor install. I really want that completely white low beam, parking lights, and fogs look cause I think it looks amazing!

Yea, WDP is my favorite color, but this car made too much sense to pass up, and I still like it a lot! And the I like the clean look of the base lip, much more subtle.

I knew I couldn't pass up getting some shots after that snowfall, pretty happy with how they've turned out!

Thanks man! That's been the goal of the mods for me, glad you agree!

Thanks! And I agree, the white switchbacks really look nice. They are really no big deal, you just need to do the relay mod as seen here instead of load resistors:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/g-109-diy-eliminate-led-bulb-induced-hyper-flashing-without-load-resistors-815219/

Hardest part is probably pulling the relay from your car. This was my first time ever soldering anything, but it's been problem free.

OK, going to try going thru some of the other pictures I took now to see if there is anything else worth posting.

OK, messed around in LightRoom with a few more similar shots. That program is really something else! Lots to learn still about it.

This first one I wanted to get a good shot of the car in, but the road was a bit too busy to make it happen. I still like it, just wish I would have gotten right in the center of the road.

Thanks Anil! And J - just use MS Office Picture Manager to re-size the file to acceptable levels. Don't know any other way to do it...

Haha, that would do it. I think these are the first portrait shots I've done, just to get the trees in there.

Actually, I snagged those shots right in time. That snow had fallen in the last day or two, and then it was about 40 degrees with a good amount of rain about a day or two later, so a lot of the snow is already gone. Sure looked nice for a little bit tho!

You know it's funny, now that I'm getting into the whole photography thing, wherever I'm going I tend to look for interesting things or spots to shoot. I find myself much more aware of my surroundings in a way, kinda cool to look at things from this point of view.

Although I will say that the current cold weather makes me just keep them in the back of my mind til summer...

I'm constantly looking for new spots when I'm driving around. I have my few spots I know will look good, but I'm always on the search for the perfect background.

Glad to hear it isn't just me, although I suspect many of us are guilty of this!

Should be able to find some interesting things to shoot at the Chicago Auto Show tonight! Heading there after work!

Gotta like mixing up the avatars every now and then!

Back from the auto show, but no time to deal with pictures. I'll probably try to get them posted by this weekend. Some cool cars there, but not easy to take decent pictures with so many people walking and standing around them. We'll see how they turn out!

I believe it...I thought going on a Wednesday night instead of the weekend would help. I'm sure it did too, I can only imagine what it will be like on Saturday or Sunday.

Finally got a buncha pics uploaded this morning. No editing, no Flickr, just good ol' direct upload of jpegs to photobucket. If I find the time to edit some RAW files with LightRoom, I'll go the Flickr route with those.

Anyway, here is a tease shot for Mr. Bell

2013 Chicago Auto Show

Alright, here is goes. This may be a huge post, but here are some of my pics from the auto show, basically in order of how I walked around.

New Corolla concept:

I think the only car from the enter Honda family I took any pictures of, a Honda electric roadster:

Needs no introduction...

Really liked this shot:

In yellow:

Nismo 370Z was pretty sweet

Some tuner's Lexus LS...looked pretty good:

More of this to come later...

Audi S7:

Love this shot:

On to Mercedes...
SL 63 AMG...do want

CLA concept...I actually think I like what I see in this new Benz...

Matte Silver SL 550

BMW M6 Sedan

2013 Chicago Auto Show Continued

On to some fun stuff!

I loved this car maybe more than the Aventador:

Some nice rear ends:

Wasn't on fire that I could tell...

Anyone in the market for the Volvo Polestar?

I think this is the front of the Hot Wheels edition Camaro

Camaro from the new movie Turbo...

Yes you're reading that right...405...wheel specs are 24x15

The other car that needs no introduction...

Obligatory sting ray shot:

Beautiful car...wish I had better shots of it:

Lexus LF-LC Concept:

And that'll about do it!
