k1x progress thread!!!
whats up aziners i couldnt fall asleep so i decided to make a progress thread.
ok here it goes...
bought a base 05 base nbp tl oct of 2011, car was really nice from the dealership it stood out more out of all the cars because of the body style and it came with 19 inch black wheels with a polished lip. I took it home from the dealership for 12k has 56k miles and paid 220 a month. which i think is a fair deal. it also came with aspec front lip and a knn intake..ok on to the pics.
here it is went to the gas station for a quick wash and gas.
After that the MOD bug started to get to me. I didn't really know about acurazine i kinda stumbled upon it searching for parts for my car...so i went with a ebay roof spoiler and blacked out tails i was going for that infamous "all black rice type of shit lol dont judge"
after that i decided to get an rv6 v3 jpipe with a tanabe medallion to give the car a few ponies.. and to give it a nice decent roar while driving.
I was lurking in azine for a while and didnt really mod after the jpipe and exhaust. I decided that i really want a type-s so after owning the car for about 6 months and paying almost half of it i decided to do the biggest mod of all..
trading the base and getting a type-s!!! too bad its auto but hey it still break necks!!! here some pics brand spanking new from the dealership:
i still had the MOD bug so. ive decided that i was going to mod this the way i wanted it coz the nbp was kinda pre modded. so i kept the jpipe and exhaust.ok first mod for cbp were LEDS. 5k interior and license plate leds,6k hid from trs and 3k from ddm tuning also bought some 6k switchbacks.
after that there was a gb going on, on some aspec kits so i hop on that.. good thing i did coz i think im 1 of the few ones who got really lucky coz cbp was discontinued, here it is with the 3k hid fogs with overlays.
few months had passed by i didnt do much to the tl-s. my girl kinda got worried that i havent bought anything for it besides cleaning stuff. well shes in for a surprise. i got some Teins and progress sway bar on its way so the day after she made that comment a big knock on the door and there it is. a big ol box of teins and a progress rear sway bar. i was going to post pics but a few week after the install i got drunk and lost my phone at the bar LOL
so ive found a deal on craigslist on some rays g35 stockies for 400 with 80% hankooks so i snag em heres some pics. oh yeah they were curbed bad so me and my buddy painted it duplicolor silver.
so i kinda grew some balls to do the switchback mod with the load resistors ps. i havent sodered nothing in my life so it was pretty cool that the fucking thing worked heres a pic. 6k switchbacks, 6k low beams and 3k fogs
i felt like the oem g35 rays were too stockish looking for the tl-s so i drove about 10 hrs to so cal to visit my girl parents and to snag these bad boys of a member here who was parting out.. shout out to justin aka murph145
specs are 19x9.5 +22 fronts (7mm spacer) and 19x10.5 +28 rears wrapped in dunlop dirrezas!!!
murph145 also threw a real carbon fiber engine cover made by jptl04 for free and he shaved my fenders on that 100 degree socal weather!!
heres some pics of the work wheels installed. maxed out on tein sa natural camber!!!
after the works. i kinda lay low for a while coz i spent a good chunk of change on the works so i just did some maintaince to the car. alignment,cabin air filter and some oil change.
damn!!! the previous owner didnt even change this for 30,000 miles check it out

)but then i found a deal on the bm for an atlp v2 quads so i snag em of somebody from san diego. also bought an aem v2 and an atlp v1 roof spoiler also got my roof vinyled black and the roof spoiler as well
so after a year of owning the cbp theres were my money went lol. and im still not done.. heres how she sits right now!! damn i really need to know somebody who has one of them fancy cameras coz a fuckin iphone is not cutting it lol
oh yeah i cleaned up my works coz theres a lot of brake dust on the inner barrels.

oh yeah thats only half...but i sold most of them already i figured i spend way too much on modding my car already so 1 hobby is enough for me.

lol @ plate. Do you really drive slow? The only times I purposely drive slow is when someone in back honks me when clearly I cant go any faster. So when it clears up I still go like 5 mph and piss him off lol.

Awesome progress! I still need to get wheels to complete the aesthetics part of it, but I need to get something way smaller and rounder for the other girl in my life first lol. How are your tire treads with the staggered setup? And how much drone do you get with your RV6 J-pipe with the ATLP quads? I'm looking to get the ATLP J-pipe further down the line if it doesn't cause my car to drone too much lol.

FFFFAAAAWWWWKKKKKK such a great progression. I actually really liked the G35 wheels but hot damn, VS-XX is hard to beat. Excellent work and I'm really digging the wide ass look more and more.

Im in love with those wheels, theyve always been an all time favorite for me. I'm hoping next year I can find a used set in the right specs and get the faces powedercoated a custom color.
Ohh and I know what a sneaker addiction is like, this picture is back in high school before I sold alot of them to fund my new addiction.. The TL lol

believe it or not i do drive slow...going over dips,bumps and stuff plus i just love to break peoples necks!!!!
nice!! my tire threads suck I'm running -2.6 front and -4.6 camber rears i get about a year and a half to 2 yrs a set of tires my cars drone is tolerable no complaints that is too loud even my girl says it sounds good. i only get them in the low rpms...
yeah i know they thought i bought it...well just his rims.

my cars drone is tolerable no complaints that is too loud even my girl says it sounds good. i only get them in the low rpms...yeah i know they thought i bought it...well just his rims.

just in today!!! 18x9.5 +27 enkei nt03s, i need to refinish and powdercoat the works so i pick up a really good deal on some nt03's. i can also use this as my winter rims and use it for long drives. now i can put passengers in my car I'm going to run some 225/40 on them maybe some nitto motivos. and im going to powder coat it either gunmetal grey or glossy black i havent decide yet

oh snap sorry man i didnt catch that lol..the rv6 tanabe combo was nice no drones and rasp coz the tanabe catback has a mid muffler and a resonator. its only 93dbs but if you stomp on the pedal the exhaust just comes to life i like it no issues at all i tried installing it on my type-s but it didnt look right maybe if the tips are a little bigger i couldve used it.. sorry man no videos i only out 1000 miles on it before trading it in.
