Just Cleared My Headlights.

Just cleared my headlights today with the help of Trew. Thanks a lot homie, I appreciate all your help. It wasn't as bad as I expected but it was definitely wierd sticking my headlights in the oven. I love the way it looks. It definitely was worth the time and effort.

So here's a before pic

I like them but the way they are set up, they look smaller than what they are. I'm upgrading to 20's soon.

the first time i saw 20s i liked was on Trews Car. I was stuck on 19s until i saw his 20s, to bad they don't clear the BBK. That was enough to sell the 19s and step up to 20s.

Not to jack your thread, but I don't want to start a new post for this since it's very closely related. I see alot of people either clear or black out their headlights. Some even color match it to the car's color. I was interested in smoking the chrome so it matches the gunmetal bezel in the TL-S tail lights. Would something like this work?

They need them in Florida. Higher humidity requires the add'l downforce.

Not sure, but I don't think so. I think you need a Gun Metal spray paint, not a tint spray. Not sure if you need high temp or not.

I was thinking the tint becauase I'm trying to "smoke" the chrome..you know what I mean? Like I still want it to be chrome, just darker...so I thought that I'd need a paint that wasn't opaque...i think translucent is the term?

I would've gone an extra step and black out the housing as well. It makes a bigger difference in appearance than just clearing the lights.

We should start a rear wing spoiler crew haha.

Its possible provided your oven can fit the headlights, I tryed on my cousins accord, and the light was too close to the upper heating element for me to even try.......

They have some nice JDM lights that have LEDs on the sides where the reflector is, pretty sick.....

Back on topic, pics look sick!!! Love the HDR images!!!
