I am loving the gauges in the base 07-08 TLs!

Idiot tech at the dealer ordered me the wrong nav disk...he ordered another 4.62 when he should have ordered a 4.73...so I'm STILL waiting for my nav.

Got my DDM DS2 6000k headlight bulbs installed (What a PITA that was...I did the "through the fender" method)...waiting to install the 3000k fog kit tomorrow. Headlights look awesome...they are perfect white, just what I was looking for. Is it normal that the fogs go off when the hi-beams are on? I never noticed until I put my new bulbs in.

Another trip up though...the dealer never told me my radio PIN, so since I took out my battery to do the HIDs, my radio reset and is asking for the PIN. So it looks like I will have to wait til monday to call the dealer and get the PIN from them. Is there any way to call Acura? Some sort of 24hr customer service number so I don't have to go without music til monday?

Have a good weekend guys.

Anyone want to buy my stang? I'm selling it and getting an r6

Yes the fogs turn off when the high-beams are turned on.

The radio PIN number should be on a card in your leather owners manual book cover thing. At least that's where mine is.

Nooo don't sell the 'stang!

Cool...good to know about the fogs.

I wasn't given "the" owners manual from my car...just some random owners manual from an 07 TL...so I have no possible way of tracking down the PIN number other than getting it from the dealer on monday when they open

I don't know about the stang man...I think I'm ready to move on and get another toy. If I can sell the stang for $7k...and get a used Yamaha r6, Suzuki GSXR600, CBR600, etc for $3k...that leaves another $4k to play with the TL...mmmm

Finally got everything straightened out with my 6000k headlights and 3000k foglights. It was a MAJOR PITA...I swear Acura doesn't want us to try to change our lights. Doing HIDs in my mustang was about 10000x times easier haha...but who said bolt ons were ever easy?

The results

What next?

Damn that is annoying. Hopefully they know what they are doing and it's a quick fix.

I hear what you are saying about the Mustang but it's so sexy man! Personally I would keep it and have a DD and a weekend car like you are doing now. Just my of course. Sounds like you have the need for speed!

The new bulbs look great! Yes doing anything to your TL pretty much takes forever. I've taken off my front and rear bumpers so many times, I don't really have to think about it when I do it.

Get the A-Spec kit next. Yes it's a hunk of change upfront but it changes the whole presence of the car. I never knew what the rave about it was until I got it on my TL. That should have been the first thing I did after buying it.

Soo...I bought one of those ebay lip spoilers...but the vendor told me they wouldn't be able to match my paint correctly, so I had them send me an unpainted spoiler for $40.

I called up my body shop guy and told him the deal, and he quoted me $100 to paint it...and I said F-that...and went to paintscratch.com and ordered some color and clear to paint it myself. But after some thought...I realized that since the spoiler is so flexible, that the paint would probably crack when I went to put it on because I didn't order paint with flex agent, blah blah blah...

Then I figured HMMMM this "trunk lip spoiler" really seems to fit my roof well, and the rubber finish of the spoiler matches the stock sunroof weather stripping...and so here we are: (I think it looks CLEAN/STOCK/SUBTLE...aka PERFECT)...I plan to get a true Type-S spoiler eventually...

Whoa! I wasn't expecting this! A lip spoiler used as a roof spoiler? I think that's an Acurazine first.

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of roof spoilers but I absolutely love this one. It's not overdone whatsoever. Clean and subtle FTW

How did that paint work out for you? Would you order from that site again? I'm still thinking about getting a can of paint and clear from there and doing my A-Specs.

Edit: Wait...you didn't paint the spoiler?

Nope I didn't paint it...I left it black...the texture of the spoiler is like a hard rubber, which is the same finish and color as the stock molding you see all around the car. So it looks like its meant to be a stock piece

The current version of the navigation disk is 2010 White DVD Map Update v4.81.

http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT...hAmerica-Site/

Or call customer service, 1-888-549-3798.

I believe a newer disk may come in Sept. or Oct. You may want to call customer service and ask them before you order one.

They are delivering me a 4.73 hopefully soon...if that one doesn't work, I'll call customer service...I'm fed up with my dealer. My car still has a shake around 65-75mph, I left a dickhead message for the service department today

Well, I haven't received the paint yet...which is VERY annoying. I placed my order on July 18th...they were "processing and mixing" my order until July 23rd which is when I was told it shipped. But they said please allow 8-11 days for shipping. What the hell is that? So Its going to be 2 weeks before I get my paint? I'd rather wait Zero days and pay a few extra dollars and get paint from the dealer. But I guess if you want to get a spray can, like I did...you'll have to wait. If the paint quality isn't PERFECT im going to be PISSED
