Swoosh, speaking of new photos... I just remembered Adam/predatorbird and I are suppose to be getting up together sometime when he comes into town for some scheduled maintenance on his TL. At that time, I know he has mentioned doing some sort of small shooting session, perhaps even some "Rolling Shots". But going back to what I said, I need a deep detail BAD!

I know what you mean with being done leading to getting something new to play with instead, but try to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Your TL has come a long way and looks fantastic.

On a side note, I have my JL XD500/3 in the back left corner of the trunk under the trunk mat. If I didn't have nav, it would probably be in the same spot as yours. I didn't screw it down either tho. I used some real strong velcro, two strips I think, and it stays down really well, but can still be pulled up with some force if needed.

My plan is to get it under the seat at some point too....just need to get around to it.

until I'm "not done" with my car again.

I have gotten to the point where it's all about repairs, maintenance, keeping the paint looking good, nice and different photos and modding and unmodding and modding and unmodding the same things. AKA, swapping tails, or removing the wing and putting it back on.

Thanks bro! But completely understanding what you are saying. Like I said, the TL is not going anywhere soon. My wife just recd her MARY KAY Chevy Malibu yesterday so now we have 3 cars. As of now, we will keep the ACCORD just in case, and the TL for at least another yr or 2 before making ANY moves. So, no rush anywhere soon... Just cruising for now

I want to roll mine before throwing on spacers, but I have a small dent on the rear driver fender. I'm looking into getting it fixed before coming up so I can knock out two things at once when I go up there.

Well...Guess its a flatline build thread that is coming to a end or using it as a chat/twitter like thread now. LOL! But for a lame update, The system is sounding GOOD with the tweeters on the brink of possibly on the way out but still sounding good! Just sometimes I think I hear cracking or slight distortion and other times clear as day. It just may be the source from where the music is being played from and how clear the output of the music is...IDK.

And finally, as I have nothing else to do to the car and nothing has broken or failed as of late, I started to build my RC scale trucks. Have done a lil electric install, suspension mods/adj and paint. Still a lot more to come within the 3 I have. 2 are mine and the one as shown before that is my sons. Here is a few qk pics of my current TRUCKS and my past RC's before taking a break from the Hobby to mess with my TL for the past 2 yrs. All of the ones u guys are about to see were all custom built and painted by me with a Rattle can job(s) and household products to assist. Str8 DIY! ~ BUILT never BOUGHT! NOTE: The Magna Buggy and the FLAMED GT car...BOTH 105MPH+ cars!!! IN REAL SCALE SPEED!

My 1st ASSOCIATED SC8e, AE RC8Be & OFNA GTP2e (all 1/8 scale)

OFNA GTP2e Custom painted by hand and rattle can w/custom dyed wheels ~ DIY

AND THE BEAST!!! Fully CUSTOM Built front to back 1/5 scale STROKED 30cc HPI Baja 5b ~ WAY TOO MUCH $$$ into this rig!

After taking a break for a couple yrs...I decided to return and add my son in the hobby, who seems not to be into much these days but CALL OF DUTY...lol!

1.) Traxxas SLASH 4X4 RTR VXL for my son (blue/yellow body)
2.) Traxxas SLASH 4x4 BRAND NEW Roller FULLY BUILT RPM'd from front to back!
3.) ASSOCIATED SC8e BRAND NEW Roller w/Painted Body

In order, here are some things in the wekz or plans:

All 3 are NEW and have NOT been ran yet. My sons RTR Slash is only out the box and he is waiting for me to get one of my 2 running. The RTR SLASH is basically staying stock until things break or as needed as my son has NO experience in controlling a RC. The stock battery will do fine till he gets the hang of it some. At that time, I may step him up to 2s or 3s lipo and go from there. Here she stands as of now.

And here is my (Bullet Proof) RPM'd SLASH 4X4 w/dyed BLACK chassis. This SLASH will be powered by TEKIN RX8 & SC4X 4.5 motor + Suspension by Hot Bodies 1/8 D8 BIG BORE Buggy Shocks ~ COMING SOON :

Now for my PRIDE & JOY! ~ My 2nd... ASSOCIATED SC8e with many AE FT mods coming soon to be installed & CASTLE CREATIONS Mamba Monster & 1515 2200kv. Here is a list of Hop Ups:

* AE anodized 89239 Rear Chassis Brace / BLUE ANODIZED Aluminum
* AE 89238 Front Chassis Brace / BLUE ANODIZED Aluminum
* AE 89320 Blue Aluminum Front Brace
* AE FACTORY TEAM front & rear BIG BORE shocks
* AE FACTORY TEAM ASSOCIATED RC8.2E BUGGY BLUE ALUMINUM TOP PLATE
* AE NEW Clear Body
* AE Blue anodized hubs and lugs rings

And the next HOP UPS are pictured below:

* DE Racing Skid Plate(s)
* RPM Front Upper & Lower Arms
* RPM Rear Arms

Now here is progress so far:

SORRY TO BORE U GUYS...

I assure u...These things are pretty good in size with FULL detail! Down to camber, caster, tow rebound, droop and travel of suspension...etc etc and MORE! But I won't bore u all with all that stuff. As U saw with a ruler my sons truck a few pages ago, my truck (SC8e w/Flames) is bigger! since its a 1/8 scale of the real deal. (Look and compare to the 12in tiles on the floor) Its just my camera settings were on MACRO for close up detailed pics...sorry buddy

and as for the ORANGE & CF Flames Buggy...Try over 38in long and 38-40lbs in weight coming at you at 45-55mph.

Can get pricey...But what isn't nowadays But YES! LOTS OF FUN! They are...and can be frustrating at the same time...Just like our TL's...lmao But I really working on em (maint. or modding) building and and custom painting them. Bashing, jumping, slinging dirt is all a bonus. Only to take em inside and start all over with maint. tuning, adj and cleaning them for the next time.

My dad bought my brother and I some TRAXXAS trucks for Christmas one year, they were gas powered, so temperamental, you have no idea. The electric ones have got to be easier to work with.

I didn't know they did camber/toe and all that, that's insane. I'd sit across the street from a tire shop and drive it up with a note stuck to it. "Needs alignment, will be back later to pick up."

PICS! Not fimiliar with a LP 670-4...is that a LAMBO? Sorry for the stupid question. Just know Lambo has a LP model. Who is the manufacture? Is it Nicad or Lipo powered?

E powered are the best! Same power and even more speeds then nitro in most cases. NITRO SUCKS! For that ^ reason exactly! They are NASTY when running at their best! But my GAWD!!! What PINTA and very temperamental as u said. Every time the barometric pressure, weather and temps change, those fuckers need to be tuned...FK DAT! The ONLY gas powered I had was the 1/8 Baja buggy and that thing was a cinch and BAD ASS! Basically powered by a weed eater motor / 2 stroke 30CC's... Bitch ripped rooster tails of sand and dirt 20+ feet and sometimes pulled the wheels doing so as big as it was.

Hey, I turned over a new leaf after being spanked until my ass was raw and bloody. Reminded me of the 1st time I spend the night in prison.

Josh, I think your mini cars are awesome, I've never gotten into them but plenty of my friends have and I can appreciate that. Fair?

Ummm...WTF!?

I was just Joshin with ya!

Nope. But that is more on my TO DO LIST of MAINTENANCE, REPAIR or WEAR & TEAR fix as I go. But still, as mentioned... something to do for sure.

No, I really wouldn't call it "ONTO"...mini or scale cars. I have always been into em off and on. Like I said, I sold all of em a few months after I purchased my TL and hung up my lead foot from my Mustangs. So, me getting back into the hobby is more as a return since I have accomplished what I wanted to with the TL.

I didn't get a chance to do anything yesterday But after wk, I will stop at the hand wash car wash and get her cleaned up enough for the cause. Then when I stop at home, I may wipe her down one more time with some spray detailer or something. It should be fine for what we will be doing

Nice, rolling shots for the Josh finally...
PS...get some good polymer wax on there, it'll hide a LOT of the swirls and don't do any full sun shots...even if it's sunny out, take your shots in the shadows of something.

doubt I will have time for all that. But I am sure the pics won't show what my pic showed above (prior) the one in my avatar. That day was a close up angled shot and the car was FILTHY! was not washed for over 10 days. It will be fine if we can get together with our time restraints.

My plan is to stay out of the sun. Not to hide imperfections, because I never take good photos directly in the mid-day sun.
