Maaaaannnnn...
rough morning at work...
now y'allz busting my ballz...

today just ain't my day!

No sir, I have a firm belief that when the amount you end up paying to own something ends up being about the same or less than the cost of paying someone to do it for you, it's better to just buy one. I've always been interested in adding cutting and welding to my repertoire of things I use to make repairs and create.

GOOD NEW Broski's!...

From the same vendor (SoCalAutosports) who has brought us the dual tip GROUP BUY was trolling my exhaust ventures and pm'd me he has found what I been looking for and failed, THE PORSCHE TIP! So at this moment I have 2 choices. #1.) The Base ASPEC looking "Type-S" look~a~like staggered dual tips #2.) PORSCHE tips...

Seems lots of ppl are jumping on the duals lately so I just might start a evolution here on AZ lol...

Don't be a fool, fool...get them motherfukn tips already!
PS, when I polished my tips, I didn't know that the inside part was supposed to be that black color so I polished the whole thing, here to give you an idea.

I'm thinking about bringing mine out to be flush with bumper too...but not certain. For all the work of cutting and having to make 4 new welds kinda makes me think, if you're going on the mission, you might as well get new tips.

Thats how I see everyone doing it J. Polishing everything. That is ultimately the BEST tip being its OEM and fits PERFECT! And dam! U make it look aftermarket in that pic...SEXY! But yeah... I may pull the trigger on the Porsche Turbo tips today when he catches up to us in day light...(Cali) Like I said, I really like the dual tips he has but every pic or almost every pic just doesn't smack me in the face and say THATS THE ONE! But I really think the turbo tips with on the NBP, aspec rear and total design and mods of my car.

^^^ aaah you found the thread eh..... yeah he seems like a legit guy....

i would either go with the Type S duals or Extending the Base tips outside.....even thow the porsche tips look hawt, it will be kind of an overkill because of no exhaust mods....you feel me brah ???

You know what, going back and forth with you two clowns 1st of all, put a smile on my face yesterday. 2nd, it has made up my mind on the exhaust. I will extend mine out a little.

Thanks!

The ATLP Base, it fits the bumper opening a bit, but it's just "ok". The dual tips, most of the ones I've seen done, look like someone hacked off the oem tip and welded on some wannabe type s tips (oh wait, that's exactly what happened). The porsche tips are super nice and different but another hundred bucks and they don't mimick the design of our car at ALL...there's nothing rounded or circular to our cars...even the opening in the bumper is sharp and angled. That's one of the reasons I loved my wheels, i felt like their design matched the design of the TL to a "T". So, that said, I'm sticking with the OEM tips.

J.

Get the 3'' quads man! You will need to do some trimming on the inside of the A-Spec, but it's totally worth it. They fill out the rear end much more than the stock tips and give it a meaner look from the rear.

^^^ glad you took another advice buddy....

i mentioned the same in your thread couple weeks back and you were too adamant not to do anything to it....

extend the tips out and see the positive comments when you post pix....and i would honestly take everything to Rodney (including the resonator) and call it a day

No sir, I promise you I wasn't totally against that idea, I just hadn't made up my mind yet. The best way to get me NOT to do something is to tell me to do it! DUH...

I am definitely considering it. I'll have to see where his shop is...hopefully nearby. So you think, longer resonator, and have the piping with less cuts in it (less to leak from) and then extend the tips out...that could work.

Go quads or go home To be honest, there is not much distance for you to pull the tips out without things starting to look goofy since the width of the tips from a side view is very small. If you pull out too much then you will be able to see the piping behind it.

Not really...saw a thread who had a pic of someone who did it right up to being flush with the ASPEC...it looked GOOD! Really Good. matter of fact, as if it was meant to be like that from manufacture imo

^Speaking from personal experience. I guess it depends on how far you stick them out. BTW, I forgot about those tips for you I'll get em later if you still want them.

Thanks Anil...
I was thinking that too, because as you do come out from the aspec lip, the opening gets wider and won't fit nearly as tight...but I guess as long as you're adding 2 inches and not 6, you'd be ok...

IDK TLDUDE... Think I am going to go with the more aggressive styled look. Its a toss up from the PORSCHE TURBO tips or the ever so loved, QUADS...

I am starting to feel the same PB. I am leaning toward the QUADS since you just can't go wrong designing off what is already the perfect rear end (TLS) getting that OEM and performance sedan look vs taking the chance on the PORSCHE tips and a small chance I am not happy with how its filling (or not filling) the exit ports of the ASPEC.... I know I know, Now this is where RS143 talks shit about my indecisive ass... lol

I am only like that because I don't like DOUBLE work or double paying for install. Basically why RS143 himself is waiting for me to make a move and do something which will better guide him to not making the same mistakes... I am rs143's guinea pig and I am ok with that.

I could live with that...

I'm not really waiting for you, bro...I'm just waiting in general, i could use that other picture to make a decision, but as it stands, I'm not hating how it looks the way it is now.

Not only the TLS, but most of the new sport/luxury sedans have quads too. AMG's, M series, Audi S, etc. I'm not a huge fan of the Porsche tips.
