Hey fellow A-ziners! It's been nearly half a year since I posted pics! Nothing's changed... car still looks the same, no new parts. I did, however, get my hands on a new camera and some lenses... so hopefully these pics look a lot better (even though uploading the pics online seriously degrades picture quality).
I also managed to get rid of an annoying noise that I heard during acceleration at low RPMs. I browsed the forums and found that it could possibly be the half shaft heat shield. I crawled under my car a few days ago, found the heat shield, and sure enough... it was loose. It would make a buzzing noise on acceleration. I tightened it down and no noise! So if any of you are having this same problem, check that heat shield! It could very well be the problem. It's tucked just above where the j-pipe makes a "u-turn" so I'd suggest waiting until the car is completely cool before working on it, otherwise you'll definitely burn your hand. The bolts are 12mm... easiest if you use a ratcheting box wrench. The space is pretty tight.
ANYWAYS, on to the pics. Not much, but whatever.

Ah... the ever popular discolored bumper.

Decided to try out some rolling shots

Pics were taken with my Canon 5D Mark II and Rebel XSI with 16-35mm f/2.8L II and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II. Pics edited in Photoshop. Not good at taking car pics, so don't judge lol. Can't get the angles right!

Thanks everyone for the comments!!! Much appreciated.
Do it! If you're gonna use a dslr... it takes some trial and error. It took me several tries to get it to look the way I wanted.
Not a sir! Quite the opposite lol
Sure! Will post more pics soon. Stay tuned!

Lishanese, that's a sweet looking ride you've got there. Keep it up.
The stickers are for the yearly safety inspection. I just got mine renewed, actually... the number is for the month in which you have to get the car inspected. There's another sticker next to it for reconstruction. In Hawaii, we have this law where you have to get the car's modifications approved by the state. I don't know what the purpose of it is, but if you don't have a reconstruction permit, you can get pulled over and cited for it. Also, you can't pass your safety inspection without that permit either!

Lis, any one of the pics from the 1st post could be your Avatar.
Hey, is there any way to move the stickers from the rear bumper to the back window? They look like they're necessary obviously, but your car would look better with a clean bumper.

Unfortunately, no. Again it comes back to the reconstruction thing. If they catch me with cleared out headlights, they can slap me with a huge fine and even revoke my reconstruction permit. I know a lot of people don't really give a damn about minor citations and whatnot... but Hawaii is a small place and I have a lot of relatives on the police force. I'm sure to get hassled eventually, haha.
I know, ugh! It's welded on crooked. At first I thought it was mounted wrong, but I checked it really well and the tips are welded on to the muffler crooked. I was pissed at first, but got over it.
i've seen an s2000 from hawaii that hung the stickers on something underneath the bumper. can u possibly do that?
n yea who cares about ur exhaust, I didnt even catch it until pizzaman pointed it out! lol sure it still sounds awesome

Hi,
Nice car.
Are you a pro photographer? Or are you just into seriously expensive hobbies? :-) I've been waiting for a nice day with interesting clouds to take a few shots during sunset. Will have to do it as soon as she's back from the shop.

You should definitely do some HDR imagines if you like clouds and sunsets. They make for some super dramatic pictures!
You used to live here? What part?
^ cool, Ive never seen your car around....I live hawaii too (kaneohe side). yup hawaii is stupid with recon. Theres the load of lifted trucks not getting busted.
back on topic. car looks good bro. I had the same problem. but mine was a more squeeking sound on low RPM, I thought it was the belt but it was actually the heat sheild.

The funny thing is UA6 lives up there now haha, and im moving up there in october. thats 2 guys from hawaii thats living in vegas. I know theres a lot of hawaii people up there, i just thought it was ironic to have the same cars and have met on az.
Compositions are decent, but your editing is strange. The first set of pics look scans of 35mm prints. Not sure if that was intentional. Also, is photobucket auto-resizing your images? Seems like they're all different sizes. Might want to think about upgrading to the Pro account if you haven't already...when photobucket auto-resizes your photos it kills the image quality.

hahaha, nope. I bought my suspension brand new! Springs was a diy project with some friends and I got the shocks installed by a friend's shop... auto customs. Maybe you've heard of it?
