It doesn't really seem to fit well with the interior.

I'm not a fan. It's too big. To me it looks like on of those spinning top toys.

Its so funny to me that nobody here likes these... I think sphere momo shift knobs to be the most comfortable out there and also some of the most stylish.

The thing I dont like about the stock shifter is the shape... It just doesn't contour to the hand properly... the cool thing about a sphere is that no matter what angle you grab it from its comfortable and just rolls off your palm.

Anyway, I appreciate any opinion... I'll take better pics once my new camera comes, it actually matches really well with the interior. I'm not a huge fan of carbon fiber but the dash and doors already has it so i went with it.

The faux CF look is a bit ricey. If it were real carbon it might look a bit better, but not much.

how did you install it? I'd be interested in knowing because I wanted the titanium one for ever but couldn't figure out how to get it on there.

I think you just unscrew it and it should come right off.

oh and it doesn't fit with the tl's luxurious interior so get the silver metal one to go with the side console.

Right you are sir. Just because something is OEM doesn't make it not tacky. The purpose of CF is to be a lightweight durable material. Fake CF is just meant to look like said material. Fake CF is Fake CF regardless of who makes it.

You take the stock knob off by unscrewing it... thats the easy part.

The unsettling part is next... the momo knob threads do not fit into the stock collar the way it is so I used a dremel tool to route out the inside of the collar until it fit tightly around the bottom of the momo shifter.

When I was finished I installed the new shifter being sure to make sure the height wouldn't make for difficult shifting... you cant make it too short without adding a short shifter.

then tighten it down and push the collar up over the threads tightly and viola... new integrated shift assembly.

Hope this helps!

Why do you care what we think?

If you like it and it's comfortable, I say you keep it.

That looks like a stock shifter on the Hyundai Elantra, would fit better on a Volkswagen Jetta NOT an Acura TL. Its cool that its comfy but as far as looks go, yeeeeah...I would not put that on my TL. If you like it though, thats all that should matter
