"I need curve & windin' twinstin'" got too much fun and..........

Would anyone care for a fresh-baked rotors?

Close-up
* the very outer darker rim is the edge of inside of the rotor
* about half inch(on photo) inner darker rim is,,, um,,, the outside part of the rotor so the inside vents are totally baked
* I'm just sad iphone didn't do such a good job picking up detail

GOOD NEWS : after i took the pic,(and blowing the flame out of my poor yellowstuff) i did 6 or 7 xxx-20s but pad didn't even start to fade.

BAD NEWS : I couldn't fully engage it cz I had vapor lock from 2nd "stop"s lol. gonna bleed this wknd

JUST SAYING : I haven't felt need of big brake kit...... then again, i may be a shitty driver compared to y'all so lol
but i'd kill for a slotted rotor

I smell like burnt brake pad

I've never seen a red hot rotor before on a street car...very impressive. Those have to be >1000 degrees F.

You really need to drive around for a while to cool the rotors off. Did they get warped afterwards?

and cars like that sometimes have their rotors explode @ 900*...c6.r @ sebring is an example. mind you, this isn't a car they let customers use, this is a full racecar.

The No. 3 Compuware
Corvette C6-R driven by
Ron Fellows, Johnny
O’Connell and Max Papis
finished one lap behind the
GT1 class winner after a
brake rotor failure sent the
car into a tire barrier.

just drove today, tried highway braking, did not warp at all.
those are factory rotors god-knows-how-many-miles (bought used)

and no, after i took the pic, i got on interstate, and drove to gas station in about,, 3min? of course, using parking brake to come to a complete stop in N. (no traffic light) and then abt 10min drive back home.

When I was telling ppl I switched to a "family sedan" TL from 25lbs boosted hyundai... there was this guy with the grandpa-will-teach-you-a-lesson-about-cars face saying
"By the way, it is not a family sedan. It is a sports sedan."

well... BS my SRT8 was family sedan no other. maybe little extra torque and little more authority in brakes.

I just.. felt like driving how a sports sedan is supposed to be driven!

btw, bearcat, do you know where i can get those wings? when i remove weight from the back, the unbalance is killing my highway MPG

I'm not sure anyone really does on this forum. The car he posted is run by Team Honda Research & Development. Last I saw, it had moved on to an APR spoiler.

And from those wheels, they look like the base 07-08 ones, so this wasn't even done with the Brembos on the Type-S. Freaking insane. Saved the pics for posterity. Never seen anything like that on a non-race car.

that is true it's 07 base.

maybe i can try to take better pic sometime down the road lol

although I would like the larger brembo (just cz of diameter) I think 1piston is good enough for me

well,,, i'd rather let my car take away my stress LOL

car parts are cheaper than psychiatrist.

ummmm like 20min? PLUS like i said, several high speed brake kills (the bedding-in procedure)

I know i didn't need it. but i felt like seeing some flame, and when i actually saw it, it scared the crap out of me so i put it out lol then took the pics.
