Please tell me that is plasti-dip...

Unless you're painting the middle portion to give it the "Audi/VW" look.

how does that work exactly, I am trying to figure something out as to what to do with the letters too.

Also thinking of taping off the letters and just plastic dipping them. I think if I don't go with the CF vinyl overlay that this is what I will do.

Lamination film covered all the letters and masked off around so over spray wouldnt get on the bumper . Used exacto knife and cut out all the letters. Sprayed three light coats so paint wouldn't run.

So it's paint? I think I am gonna go with a less permanent solution and do it with plastic dip. Probably gonna layer it on there so it looks domed haha

Thats a good idea but after the plasti dip dries it becomes a solid. so after you're done with spraying the ACURA logo you will have to use an exacto knife again to cut through the thick plasti dip. if you don't then all your hard work went to waste.

Might be fine if he removed the film right away after spraying, but would have to be a 1-coat deal in that case.

I did my grill in plastic dip, and I taped it off. removed the tape just fine. Took my time with it, and I did have the knife, just in case I thought it would start pealing. Didn't have a single peal on the grill.
