Hoen Xenonmatch Fog Light's Pictures
Today I spent the late evening installing the Hoen xenonmatch fog lights I purchased directly through their website around a week ago. I dont know when they arrived, my sister brought a box to me , and said someone had put this little box from Hoen under the christmas tree, go figure. They were probably sitting there for a couple days at least. Anyways I took before and after pictures, and I'm still unsure weather or not they match my HID's enough, I may return them, please post your opinion about them. They cost me $34.
Here is a shot of my car with the stock fog lights on...

Here is a shot of the Hoen fog lights in their case...

Hope this helps people interested in these lights make a better decision, leave some points if you are feeling it, and please comment on weather or not you think I should go grab a more HID looking bulb for my car. Thanks for looking

Nice pics! Its hard to find any bulb that will look EXACTLY like the HID color, but I think these def come really close! I think it looks good, how's the light output on the road? better or worse than OEM?

i dont know why everyone wants daylight fog lamps.
fog lamps in the yellow spectrum work best as a fog lamp. many tests out there that show human eyes are more sensitive to yellow light.
for example, if a rabbit darts the road, you're more likely to register that movement in the brain faster with yellow light as opposed to "daylight" lamps. this is one reason why many construction workers prefer yellow lenses on their protective eyewear (yellow lenses give better clarity of objects, tools, etc).
and of course, to compare, the bulbs need to be same lumen output (may not be same wattage).
but then again, everyone has their preferences.

To each his own but IMO you should let the HID's be HID's and the fogs be fogs.

i LOVE my yellow fogs. had a thread somewhere about em awhile back. the yellow looks sooo much better and people don't mistake them for my high beams....
couple things.... i don't think we have bi-xenons. actually, im pretty sure we don't. its just a flap that opens up when we hit the high beams....
and to those that can't tell the difference, its so slight that i couldnt catch it the first time myself.
as a note... it is really hard to catch the actual color that the fog puts out. i had a difficult time trying to show people the actual yellow color.

If you are gonna yellows, I would get the Nokya yellow bulbs like I have. I tried the PIIA yellows and the Raybrig yellows and they just didn't stand out too much. The Nokya yellows have a high wattage output while using only 3-5 watts more power than the stock bulbs, so the wiring harness is still safe. Also, much like the Hoens you tried, the Nokyas throw off a whole lot more light toward teh ground and off to the side a bit, which makes it a lot easier to see in especially dark areas

The best bulbs you can find, to match your HID's for the fog lamps are Raybrig White Sonic but they run around about $75.00, the good thing about raybrig is that they use the same wattage as stock, but produce a brigther beam, other brands us more watts, which can cause your wires to fry.

I agree with you in this picture. The light looks great!!! Our TL lights definetely don't look anything close to the picture. The TL in the picture has a blue hue to the HID lights. Ours would look like this the first 2-3 seconds when we turn on our HID lights!!! But turns White after that!!!

Honestly, I think acura did some photoshop work in that photograph, the HID blue hue is blending into the fog light's position, doesnt look real to me. However if we were able to get our lights to look like that, then that would be a pretty good thing.
I posted awhile back about a company that a company that changed the HID's to be a bit bluer... Heres are the pics...

The fog light bulb they are selling, and pictured above does just that, however next to our standard HID's, it would look a little too blue..
Haha I sorta feel like the Goldie Locks of the HID world, too blue, too yellow, when will I find just right 8,000k is pretty nice, if the money pops up, I may just jump on that mod, we just bought a 2001 740i, and it has an aftermarket angel eye kit... Lights look great and it's something I would love to carry over to the TL, just around the HID's of course haha

i have a 5000K HID Fog kit in my 2K Maxima and the light output is slightly bluish. this would be a nice compliment to the TL's HID's i think. i got them from umnitza. i don't know about availability of 9006 kit though.
also, the PIAA xteme white plus bulbs come with a colored blue tip which does not affect the light output but does reflect in the light housing somewhat to give the housing a slight bluish tint when the lights are off. you can check out "xtremely automotive" for these or for Raybrigs or Polargs for that matter. i have ordered there.

Very suprisingly, the past week I have noticed the fog lights are getting closer and closer to matching the standard OEM's, I took a picture last night and I believe I captured the change. Hopefully you guys can tell the difference or maybe I am imaginig things. I use the fogs always with the HID's now and I think I burned them in or something hehe...

you should contact the manufacturer and ask if this is the way they are suppose to work, as far as the light color becomming whiter over time and post the answer. it would be good to know if this is the way they are designed. you would think they would list something like that to let people know to give it time to come to the intended color. this would help those of us still on the fence with choosing a bulb. thanks for the pics. they sure look very white now.
