Hks

I was thinking of buying some HKS mufflers and doing some custom piping but I have no ideas on the set up, what's your opinion guys?

i like your idea! actually i was looking for carbon ti muffler, but i ended up with greddy evo II and i really love the evo2 after i installed it. i dont like the idea of cutting and welding the pipe. only thing i dont like is that mine is type-s aspec rear so there are big gap between the bumper and the exhaust tip

I was looking into the evo 2 catback but they discontinued it, I found a guy that has the hks canisters on his tl and they sound great how much did u get your catback for?

I had the setup you want to do on my RB25 240sx and it sounded amazing. But the muffler was like 250.00 for one so you looking at 500 just in mufflers then the pipe. not worth it IMO.

You could just replace the two stock mufflers with the HKS mufflers. It won't do anything for you performance wise but it would give you the look and sound you want. Later on if you want performance gains you can think about removing the mid muffler, resonator, larger piping, etc.

I have dual HKS carbon fiber mufflers on my car. 2.5" custom piping with an Areomax resonator. Has a nice deep tone with no drone. Here's a thread about HKS exhausts: Click Me
