Nice Alpine MRD1000!! That is a very nice amp you have there. I was looking at getting that amp, but decided I preferred two amps and went with 2 Alpine MRD500s. How do you like the performance of those type r's?? I have some Infinity Perfects which I love. Need to get W7s though.

Thanks for all the compliments here. The MRD 1000 mono-block amp is a great amp and produces just about 1100watts into 2ohm load at 14.4volts. I must say this is one of the cleanest amp I have. Plenty of power to spare and it hits really loud with my DVC Type R's.

I payed $1200 just for the custom work which includes all the materials such as the ported enclosure/plexi-glass/Custom Neon Light that goes around the amp rack/carpet/leatherete/and dynomatting. Basically everything you see there except for the subs/amps. I met this dude in Vancouver and he does some really nice custom work for a very good price. It is hard to find a good installer to do a proper clean job and not charge you an arm and leg for.

Nope took the Stock sub out. I am using that as a base hole to feed the air into the car cabin.

I am curious about your trunk rattle, I have deadened the shit out of my car, all out in the trunk, and lisencse frame, but the bottom where it latches still rattles. ARGH! I have only got 800 watts in mine.

I am running close to 1100watts into my pair of 12's and YES I had my trunk dynomat and the only thing that is rattling a bit is the top left trunk panel close to the rear windshield. Once turned up, I feel like my trunk and rear windsheild is going to pop out. I must say it is a pain in the ass to get 100% rattle free. But I must say mine is a good 80% rattle free.

I do golf and it fits my golf bag perfectly with a good 3-6inches to spare. I did not take a picture to show you folks the amp cover so it won't scratch up the plexi-glass.

How do you keep the amp cool? Is the plexi enclosure vented at all?

Looks sharp!

The amp has a pretty decent cooling system so I haven't had any problems with it. The amp never shut down on me and I had it running at 120 ferhenheit one time which is not bad during the summer. The amp has a digital display of the temp/Voltage/and amp metre.

And yes with over 1100watts, my trunk still rattles even with dynomat!!!

85% cure from rattles.

nice setup, i was thinking about just replacing the stock sub to maybe something a little bit more ballsy. but after seeing these pics im thinking twice about it. doese the alpines drown out the speakers inside or did you amp that up as well?

Everything worked out really well. The base can drown out the music if I had the base level at 3 but I keep it at 0 which works perfectly. Our OEM speaker inside is loud enough to keep up with my Alpine Subs. But I don't mind changing them out in the future to make it sound even better for the mids/tweets.
