Yeah I think I'm gonna try the plastidip. Just need the time to do it now lol. For the plastidip I just paint right over a clean wheel right? Don't got to worry about scuffing the wheel up right?

 

i believe u just have to clean the wheels really well, no scuffing necessary

 

i disagree with one thing, you do need to scuff them and yea clean them really well..

 

just one thing, he is talking about plasti-dip. for plasti-dip, no scuffing is necessary.

ESPECIALLY if you want to peel the plasti-dip off later. cus then you will just end up with scuffed ass wheels.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. The whole point to me using plasti-dip is so that I can return the wheels to stock color if I want to sell them. Scuffin them first would totally make that pointless.

I read that it comes in two forms, a pray can and a more liquid form. Which would be best/easiest? I'm thinking the spray can?

 

I have a NBP and I'm thinking on going black or gunmetal. I had a quote for $200 paint and additional $for clear coat.

has anyone done anything with the 07-08 stockies? i kinda wanna do a two tone kind of thing with the stocks. sort of like the inner pieces gloss black and the face of the rim stock color or maybe the opposite. bc i feel gloss black rims on a light car (silver) look good but no contrast with the tires.. i been trying to photoshop it but i suck at it.. any opinions?

Ya, I was thinking about plastidipping mine as well. Gloss Black or Flat Black. I just wanted to possibly see some others out there. There doesn't seem to be any other than powerflow's. Cool thing with plastidip, is that you can take it off...which is actually easier than putting it on.
