Cool Fog lights finally in.

What do we have here.

Oh. my fog lights came

Everything still looks clean.

Night Pics.

So far these things are awesome. The Yellow is really intense, and looks great at night. I would recommend these to everyone that is looking to put HID's into there fog lights, and would be doing so safely going with the projectors. I want to thank Rich at HID Illusionz for making these custom fog lights for me.

You can visit there webiste here.

The set up cost me around $335. That includes the projectors, HID kit, labor, shipping, Lexan plexi glass covers. Not bad if you ask me.

Bad spot to put the ballast.

I mounted my ballast that was exactly the same size as yours there and it feel off after about a month of driving. I used the mounting pad like you did and nothing else.

Put it above the headlight, right in front of the battery. There's a little "cave" there that's perfect for an hid ballast.

IMO never mount an HID ballast that will need to fight against gravity 24/7.

It looks like they were projectors out of another foglight, retrofitted into a TL foglight housing .

They look good OP!

The foglights came out of a Lexus ES300. They still look great. Rich from HID Illusionz built these for me.

I've been using the same projectors.
Using them on my o4 though. I installed it as is.

Anyone ever comment on your "JDM Green" HIDs when you first fire up the fogs?

Yeah I've had a few comments about the "HULK green fogs" lol I usually don't use my brights for that very reason. I'm very happy with them though.

FYI I have a email reply on getting the same lights from the HID Illusionz. (read the below info from bottom to top if you want to make sense of it all)

I like this idea better though that may start to happen some day soon.

Hey Joe,

Oh ok. Well based on what I was told, those foglights were from the
'07-'08 model, so I did not know if they fit the '04-'06 model, that's why
I was asking. But yeah, if you are looking to get that done, you are
looking to spend about $175 plus return shipping for the labor, ES300
foglight projectors and lexan lens replacement. Also, if you are
interested in an aftermarket HID kit, that will also be an additional
$175, so a total of $350 plus return shipping if you are interested. Let
me know what you would like to do or if you have any additional questions.
Thanks.

I'm not sure what you're asking here. My car is an 07. As far as I know I'm the only TL he has worked on besides doing the quad projector set up on another TL, He is a member here, can't remember the name off hand.

The only other o4-o6 TL that uses ES300 projector fogs is me...
And I didn't go to him for my install.
I just bolted my ES300 projector to the bumper and used a few things from the Accord fog kit...
I also have retrofitted foglights [in the headlights] but that was also done by myself...

Otherwise Nate has a one-of-a-kind lower-foglight [to my knowledge].
There is another member on the forum who uses projectors for his lower fogs but I believe he used his from a VW. Was an ASM Type-S I believe.

You are. I remember him talking about your fogs not long after I had mentioned my interest in doing retro-fogs. I chose to just stick with the quad retro but the retro-fog setup you had done is a WHOLE lot more affordable. Nicely done.
I still consider the retro-fogs sometimes though...

I can repost what I have. Sorry guys. I re-organized my photobucket so everything is where it should be. I'm looking to trade someone for stock foglights still, I'm looking to go with different projectors.
