Flood Damaged headlight to modded headlight

So as some of you know, I have been putting my car back to stock (if not you can read about it below)
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-photograph-gallery-96/my-3g-tl-build-04-mt-am-type-s-conversion-901056/

I purchased a driver side headlight from a flood damaged car to repair and put on my car. Well I was going to send it to JNC as I have sent many 3G TL headlights to him and he does great work. But I wanted to do my 4G TL headlights too, so I thought this would be the time for a trial run.

Here are the pictures:
Before

Disassembled

Cleaned and reassembled (not resealed though)

The chrome came off of the "chrome strip" and I couldn't find any good chrome paint for plastics.

The Passenger headlight

Fixed the lenses (passenger wasn't too bad to start with, just some normal pitting)

End result after painting

To fix the lens I wet sanded it with grits:
400-600-1000-1500-2000-2500-3000
Then got a microfiber towel and hand buffed with
meguiars ultimate polish, then meguiars ultimate compound.

I will be sealing the headlights with woofgang headlight sealant.

Since the chrome strip came off, I decided to open both headlights up and give them some paint.

I used Krylon paint for plastic on the innards:
Gloss paint- projector bezel and chrome strip
Satin paint- chrome housing in front of the fog bulbs

Surprisingly everything from the flood damaged light worked:
ignitor
shutter for the high beams
red/black power wire for shutter

nice job. the cost/benefit though for me would be the initial cost of the damaged light plus time invested vs just buying a ready to go aftermarket assembly

looks great though

That's some nice work!! I like what you did with the black paint. I was never a fan of all the chrome in the base headlights. Looks great!
