I hate to be that guy but I do believe that the spacer is installed incorrectly

I took this picture off of jptl04 so that you could see the correct install.

I don't think that it will make much of a difference but I figure that you should know I only know this because I just did mine last week.

We actually installed it that way specifically, in case the NOS opening gave us trouble (they've been known to whistle). But thanks for looking out for this!

How does the spacer increase hp & torque exactly?

The spacers reduce heat soak between the throttle body and the intake manifold. The spacer does the same thing, but also creates more space in there for air. I think.

It's most temperature control...

PZ, I just got back from lunch, which is the first time I took it out. If does feel good, more torque, smooth shifting-not as wild and it seems more responsive.

Plus, it's a relatively inexpensive mod and easy to put on!

Thanks Rened. When Swoosh was over to help me install the TBS, his girlfriend suggested that I pinstripe the chrome door handle channels that are currently installed. They will match the extra Type S badging above the sidemarkers along with the tails.

I might try that, since it's removable pinstripping and see what everybody thinks.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, it swirls the air for better atomization in the combustion chamber.

^^^ never heard about that....

The spacer just pushed the throttle body away from the manifold....the manifold gets plenty HOT and it turn the TB hot (by contact + the coolant ) the temp sensor in the manifold get hot and hence the ECU retards the timing....overall you loose low end power....

this mod in conjunction to the P2R TB thermal gaskets + coolant bypass helps the sensor stay cool.....

this mod wont yeild you 103445hp but every time i spend a time on the car (even lug nuts) my buttometer says damn i feel so much power

Guys, I just got back from a 2 hour trip to see my girlfriend. It's a nice mod, you can feel a little power boost. Glad I did it!

I'll be doing the coolant bypass mod tomorrow.

Steven I've been considering the black lugs but I don't want to lose my wheel locks

I know my A-Specs aren't the hottest wheels out there but considering how much of a headache I had with having them powdercoating and such, it would kill me if they were stolen. Plus when I'm at school next semester, my car won't be garaged.

i heard this mod actually doesnt increase but rather decreases power on our cars. Don't aske me how...i just heard its worth nothing for power thats why i chose not to do it. I am still waiting for a clear answer on if this thing actually benefits performance in any way.

BUT on a positive note i love the bling and how it looks. Makes the engine bay look cooler lol

I'd say do it anyway. They look great. As low as your car sits it would be hard(er) to steal your rims anyway.
