First New Picture Thread..

Yea that's right some of you remember me when i used to own the WDP 02 Type S , well i kept saying i was going to upgrade and i finally did it.. I have had the car for a couple months now but have been waiting to mod it before i actually took pics.. So far i have Injen Intake , Comtech SS and newly ( just did it last weekend ) converted headlights.. I am still waiting to receive the 20 TSW's from Ludachrisvt and i'll be getting the Tein SS's with the edfc ( i already have ) soon , so im sure there will be another picture post in the near future.. But until then here you guys go , let me know what you think...

Nice! I like the headlights and 6MT! Is that your license plate in your front window? Is that where you are going to keep it? I'm currious....I don't want to put mine on the bumper either...

Thanks , personally i wanted WDP again however try finding one with gray interior and 6spd with the navi.. It took me just about a month to find this one already so i wasn't going to wait longer to get the WDP so SSM will have to do.. But yea i hadn't seen anyone else paint there headlights the same color as the car , i actually bought both black and silver just in case i didn't like the color but i liked how it turned out so i went with it.. and yea lembowski is right it's a temp plate , i can actually take it off , but i figured i would leave it on for a lil while longer , see how long i can not have a front plate without getting pulled over for it..

Yea i thought about just painting the orange reflecter first , but i didn't mostly because i wasn't sure how it would look since no one else has done that yet.. I am going to re-do the drivers side headlight because when i was putting the headlight back on it touched the paint and messed it up , so i'll be re-doing that one anyways , i pay paint the orange part and see what it looks like , but yes i did paint the part a silver color..I actually found the paint the day i removed the headlights , walmart rocks!!!

Pretty unique. I would really like to see the color match paint on a more dramatic color car... WDP, Redondo Red, or Blue.

Painting the orange lens and leaving it in the headlight would render your blinker virtually useless as the painted lens would the be covering the bulb... Doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

You should have painted it all silver. Like all the parts we would paint black and up to and including the part that is already black. "silvered out" headlights!

You still going to help me with mine when I get ready? I'm hoping to do it in the next two weeks.

Looks good man. I'm jealous.

I am going to be clearing out my lights in the next week or so because I am having some body work done on the bumper so it is the perfect time to clear them out.

I want to know what I need to make mine look like yours. What type of paint did you use and what actually did you paint?

also what type of replacement bulb did you use? I read somewhere on this forum that you had to buy something else to make the replacment bulb blink properly. BTW your ride looks good.

thanks.....Well Marcus actually lowered the car for me with a finger or so gap all the way around , but that was on the 17's so when i put the 18's i didn't change it.. No rubbing at all , but i haven't had anyone over 6 years old in the back seat yet so i don't know yet.. I will be changing the tires too , i think 255/40/ .. It sucks because i just bought some good tires for my stock wheels , Falken Ziex ZE-512 245/45/17 they are pretty good tires and seem to hold the road pretty well.. I traded my 20" TSW's for them with Lembowski here on the board...

nice work leo, looks clean and sharp. I wanted to do the same, but a guy here is charging 600 per headlight to do what you did.

And did you replace the signal bulbs to something else?

yea honestly i am going to hold off on the aspec kit for a while , i saw how it looked on lembowski's ride and i think it looks better without the kit.. Once i go 20's im sure i'll put the kit on but for now i want to just add the rear lip and wider tires and im done with the outide..

Depends do you have a AT or 6spd ?? Performance mods i would say get a CAI , pulleys and the TB Spacers would be the cheapest..

Yes i did them myself..It took a whole weekend to complete but that was letting it dry overnight. Some people only let it dry couple of hours or they heated them up to dry them so it took them less time , i used a heatgun instead of the oven so it took me longer but there is less risk of messing them up with the heatgun..

you can put the plate inside the lower grill, that what I do but im not sure is legal though

That would not be legal , if you were pulled over im sure they would give you a ticket for that because it's not mounted on the outside of the bumper.. If i have to put a plate on , im sure i'll end up putting it in the same location as yours just on the outside of the bumper..
