finally tinted but lil sad..

So... after a month of having the TL i finally found a shop, recommended by my cousin I went in yesterday to get it done.. so im a happy camper but then right now i just remember about how people were talking about the rear window how the quarter part(?) should be tinted as well.. but i forgot -.- so i gotta take it in again.. and tell them to do it... but heres some pics 20% front and 5% back...

my heart hurts looking at the gray part.. lol

i read some threads.. they say the rubber(i think) can be lifted and you need a lot of soap and etc. to put the film in...

The rear quarterpanel doesn't look bad imo but the TL looks good! idk why but when I had 5% in Florida, you couldn't see inside AT ALL compared to yours

Looks good even though there is the little gray part there. I'm unsure if that is 5% in the back because I thought if you had 5% that people weren't able to see in and I think I could see in. It could just be me though.

The shop that did mine didn't tint under the rubber and it really doesn't bother me enough to get it re-done. But then again I have 35% and it's not really that noticable.

5 percent in the back is dark but not total blackout- its still getting 5% light transmission thru the glass, and at night with an interior light on.....
there is no such thing as privacy in public
Big Brother is watching, and so is Google

That is true but my 5% was wayyyy darker than that. I mean I could have my nose touching the glass and i wouldnt be able to see anything really.

Your rear tint does not look like 5% at all. I have 20% in the front and 5% on the rears, although the this is a side angle picture, you can still obviously see the difference

My rear tints are so dark that even when your face is up to the window you can't see shit at night even during a bright sunny day it's next to impossible. I had a more reflective tint put on my rear window for when people high beam me etc it just bounces off, but it's still 5% and darker than shit (thank you acura for the rearview camera)

Yeah I agree with Evader People high beaming me was barely any darker than normal haha

haha yeah it's nice. and you're probably better off leaving it the way it is now unless you REALLY want em that dark

I had 15 in the front and 5 in the back but when I was checked for how much I had it was 2% in the rear and 9% in the front...hahaha so idk
