Never said my ride was cleaner.
Just saying... his car, to me, looks like a rip of others.
I even stated that it looked good regardless.

Way to 'think' after the OP stated what the rims were.

A car can't technically be a rip off of others unless it's an obviously attempt at being exactly the same. That's like saying oh he has Type S taillights, he ripped off every other member on here.

Anyways, car looks good, I like it. I'd change some small things here and there but that's what modding and personal taste is all about

Well. That is true.
As stated, I did say it's how I felt about the car.
To me, I felt that, having parts similar to another car that made it unique is a sense of replicating. OP's TL doesn't feel original to me--it feels like a mash-up of several people's ideas. Which, like I said, did look good regardless.
Hence my comment about liking it yet not liking it.

Meh, I was voicing my thoughts. It's what happens in forums and photo threads.
But bashers want to bash... and that's what happens on forums too.

I agree, you said he tried to ripe off your "original design" He did it properly, according to others on here you didnt manage to pull it off, first come first serve.

beef aside im with komodo, this tl looks like a bastarization of a bunch of TLs..whatever OP thought was "cool" he did with no real concept to the car other than add as much shit as possible to the outside

fusa/tsunas on a sporty blue tl? no thanks

I did not say he tried to "ripe" off my "original design" [Heck, it's not even a fruit]. Neither did I say it was "original". I stated that I FELT that his TL is a rip of several other TLs.
And then I followed with "REMINDS ME OF..." Not my fault you (or others) cannot read properly.
And in essence, I felt there was no creativity and/or thought put into this TL. Like, the TL tried to be unique without entirely being unique.
I didn't come here to bash his car or be a retard. I just voiced my thoughts about it looking like several TLs put together. Also, as stated, I liked the outcome regardless of those thoughts.

I've seen this car many times in the GTA. Not one replica or cheap part. I think it looks amazing. I can understand people wanting to keep it simple and classy. I really don't think the OP looked on the internet and said I'm going to take this part from each person on the internet then put it on my car. Many can talk bad about it but when you see it in real life its incredible. Props to the OP for setting the trends in GTA for the TLers and for doing something different. And to all the Level One boys.

There are like 6 parts available for the TL and almost every single one on this board looks exactly the same. Not by choice obviously, but thats what happens when there is almost no aftermarket support for a car..How can you possibly NOT copy someone

To comment on this whole ordeal regarding "copying" other TLs on the forum and whatnot ... I think I can say on behalf of everyone on here that pretty much NOTHING is going to be considered original UNLESS you get to the point at which you start ... let's say ... covering your entire TL in cf (someone attempted that on here and was severely flamed I believe), painting wheels in neon pink, blue, green, etc. (been done as well), etc.

Thing is ... we all know what looks aesthetically pleasing/matches the original styling of the TL thus far, and that limits what can be done on the TL without any further aftermarket support at the time ... in some sense then, it's pretty safe to say that EVERYTHING that is done has been attempted before. When something new comes along that pleases the majority, without a doubt others will copy it once again, thus making it another "non-original" item ...

Having said that, I still respect the OP for doing things that NOT MANY OTHERS have attempted on the TL thus far even IF they have been done before ... but of course there are some things I would change due to personal taste :P

Just my
you can still be original while using the same parts and similar styles...the car is thought of as a whole and when you look at youre taking in the aesthetic as a single entity and its in this aspect that i think this car fails

each mod chosen can and has looked good and clean on others cars that had a cohesive car styling in mind....its more about how mods compliment each other rather than what each mod is, like i stated earlier i think OP just threw on whatever he thought was cool.

the overlays dont match anything, the front lip looks awkward, the gaudy stickers everywhere belong on a civic, the VIP knots are completely out of place, the rear diffusser looks like it wasnt installed properly and a carbon fiber hood??

the wheels i dont care for but the fitment/stance are good....im not trying to knock the kid (too much) im sure its tghe hottest TL in town but to be taken seriously its gunna need some help

i was given advice a long time ago regarding drumming in music and i think it can hold true here as well "its not about where you put the hits its about where you do not" so translated its "not about where you put the mods but where you do not"

basically its about picking which part or place to mod carfulley rather than putting as many in as you can...its all about the space in between

I couldn't agree with you more regarding the point that the car is taken as a whole ... it just seems that some people in this thread think otherwise, referring to specific mods that are on the OP's car, compared individually to other people's use of the same mods

That said, very wise words: "not about where you put the mods but where you do not"

LOL

Not to offend you or anything but your TL is somewhat confusing as well. You've got the whole 'VIP' look going on, interior wise at least. You've got some Work Meisters, and they look good but your fitment is nowhere close to being VIP and is quite weak. Overall, it's a nice car and I like it but saying the kid needs help with his wheel fitment and then looking at your car makes me doubt things.

not only are you a bad troll but one who cant read...you even quoted me and still couldnt understand

as for me and my car, i dont think its confusing at all...meisters are VIP wheels and my whole cars is a coherent flowing design which was thought about carefully

illl admit the fitment isnt HELLAFLUSH but i can and am changing that soon (adjustable coilovers and spacers)

your buddies car needs alot more than just a drop and some spacers to look anywhere near decent
