As stated when I joined the site, I'm a noob who really only knows where the gas goes (I rely on my brother the grease monkey). I have an aftermarket exhaust that I feel is too loud and would like to get rid of it. How do I tell what kind of exhaust has been installed so I can list it on craigslist, etc? What should I pay an OEM exhaust?

take pictures from underneath the car.

 

 

Look at the tips or the rear mufflers, it should say on there the brand.
Just search craigslist and what not for an OEM exhaust, i am sure someone may even trade you for your aftermarket ones.
Pictures dont work.

 

Any particular area I shoot take a picture of? Well, I am getting rid of the rims as well. I can hopefully take a pic when Discount Tire puts the new rims/tires on.

it says right on there it's an AEM intake system.

^aftermarket cold air intake system. replaces your stock intake. nothing wrong with leaving it on or taking it off. up to you.

I saw on Kijiji someone selling a Megan Racing exhaust for a 3G. Had tips that looked just like that.

Fatcat- Check the exhaust tips or just before the tip for any brand name. We need you to take pictures of the underside of the car from about your passenger door to the rear....that way we can tell what it is.

 

im sure someone out there will trade you their oem exhaust for that aftermarket one.... put a thread in the blackmarket when your able to

Ah yes, that's humor....I recognize it. You guys will have to forgive me for not being fluent in Acura mods. It will take some time but as I research and read up on these beauiful cars...I'll start to figure things out.

Take a picture of under the car from the rear. What it looks like to me is two cheap auto parts store mufflers welded on to stock exhaust. it would explain the loudness of the car. Tsudo does not look like that and comptech is way to quiet. 100.00 on cheap welded together exhaust.
