Three Wheelin'
... Eww. Never heard of this fad before this forum but streching the side wall?! Why not get the propper tire for the rim and if it does no fit get the correct wheels? but hey everyone has their own taste. I loke the wheel itself though. I would stay away for any and all curbs ir potholes!

Ok, looks clean ... BUT, will someone please explain to me what the purpose is? I don't understand the concept of big wheels with tires stretched to fit them... I mean, that is whats going on here right? (Sorry, I hold true to 'No questions is a dumb question' ideology).

Contradiction! The reason why drifters use stretched tires, is to lessen the contact patch. Easier to keep the tires spinning. That's their "function" when drifting. I doubt this guys gonna be drifting his TL. Unless he drifts out of control into a ditch, due to loss of traction because of the smaller contact patch of the tire and the road.

The stretch is all for looks and that is all, i love the look of the rim poking out a bit with the tire being dashingly close to the feder. Some may like it some may not but their opinion is void in my book because they dont pay for the car, they dont drive the car and well thats about it.
Love it or hate it, i enjoy it and thats all that matters and thats all anyone should think about when they mod a car, is how much they like it.
BTW bars in northern va suck

As long as you like it then you cant go wrong. props for going different route. I do like the way it looks, but I dont think I personally could have that stance everyday. But it also may be a good feeling when your walking out into the parking lot and no other car has a stance like you.. sounds like jptl04 is right as well, be careful driving.. not the ideal person to quote but i think marlyn manson said you laugh at me bc im different, but I laugh at you bc your all the same.. I too try to set myself apart from ever other TL. Stay different and GL...

In the end, it's not my car. if the owner likes it that's all that matters.

I'm all about stretching; shit, I put 235/35-19s on my 19x10.5s and I got a mixed reviews...
Only qualm is that those look like TE37 replicas (assuming varrstoens). They make great looking wheels but immensely stretching a tire on a wheel made of crap (cast aluminum) makes me nervous. All the tires I've stretched were on wheels from either work or volk which why I've never run into any problems.
Just be careful.

^Those are awesome pictures.
Personally I love your car and the wheels. You probably won't ever find a set of stretched tires on my TL but that doesn't mean I don't like seeing it on other cars
