ebelp's Progress Thread (WDP Hotness) New Wheel Update 5/29/15

Here are some pics of my V-LEDS. Sorry for all the glare, my lens apparently needed to be cleaned badly.
The reverse lights seem pretty bright in pictures, but they're actually not as bright at the stock halogen bulbs. Luckily I don't rely on them when I'm backing up. I'm going to upgrade them eventually. Just trying to convince myself to swallow the $50/pair price tag. The ones I have now were only like $25/pair. All the other wedge bulbs are perfect as far as color and brightness. LED's are addicting. I'm almost done converting all the lights in my wife's Chevy Traverse hehe...

Thanks! Next will be 3k hid fogs with the independent fog mod.
I'd also like to vinyl my roof next, but I want gloss black vinyl that doesn't look cloudy after it's applied. All the 3M vinyl roofs I've seen look more like vinyl than real paint. Not sure what other alternatives there are as far as grades/brands.

Thanks for the comments!
I got a can at Autozone for like $5. Of course it affects the light output of the parking light since you won't have a reflector anymore, but it's actually not as bad as I was expecting. You can kind of see what it looks like at night in one of those night shots I posted at the bottom of page 1. I'd say it cut the light output by 50%, but it was totally worth it because it looks so much better now.

New Pics added 6/17/11
Updated pics 6/17/11:
Far from what I consider a decent photoshoot, but I wanted to snap a few photos since I just washed it and I haven't posted any shots since I cleared the headlights and did the ZKW-R swap.

The TL is obviously much slower than my STi, but the TL is my DD and my commute to work is like 5 miles, so I don't notice it.
Sure, here you go:

The others I put in all the interior dome, map, vanity, and door lights.

Im guessing the same type of bulbs fit in the dome, map, vanity and door. Im thinking about getting these, will it fit? I was reading through alot of threads and thought the vanity and dome were size 2825, will it matter that the ones I want to buy is 2821? Thanks for the help!

EDIT: They actually don't list the 2821 style bulb on their cross-reference table, but I'm 99% sure that's just another form of the 194 style bulb.

UPDATES:
I kept the 85122+ bulbs in for a while, but in the end, my inner ricer needed that hint of blue that the 85122+'s didn't have. The bad thing was, the 85122+'s are probably the brightest bulbs on the market....except for the Osram 66240 CBI's. The CBI's burn at the same brightness (3400 lumens) as the 85122+'s, but they are 5000k instead of 4300k. Absolutely perfect combo.
Pics:
Comparison shot (Philips 85122+):
Note: I used a longer shutter speed on the 85122+ shot, so it looks brighter, but they are actually the same brightness. The above 2 pics are more for color comparison.

Thanks man...I got the Osram CBI's from a groupbuy on the hidplanet forums. A guy from the UK was selling them. You can find them from US vendors on Amazon, but they're like $125/bulb. The groupbuys usually sell them for less than $200/pair. 5000k is the perfect color temp IMO. I had my wife drive my car to the end of the street and back so I could see what it looked like to oncoming traffic. It's pure white and does the bluish/rainbow flicker when you're at the right angle.

Thanks! The lens swap is pretty self-explanatory once you get the headlight housings apart. The chrome retainer ring that holds it in place just pops off with the help of a screwdriver. If you search around the forums, there are some DIY's posted I believe.

Don't want to ruin the surprise yet, but they are NOT knockoffs.

hehe nope....good guess though. I almost bought a set of knockoff LM's before I found the ones I just bought. I have never seen the wheels I bought on a TL before...they're discontinued and made by Work.
Warning, teaser below...

Need to update this thread....
Some people may have seen my new wheels here. In case you didn't, here's how my car looked for about 2 weeks in late Oct:
Now the stock waffles are back on for winter. Being that it's the holiday season, I decided to treat myself to some parts. I'm not going to install most of it until the spring probably, but who knows. Here's what I have stockpiled so far:
Redline ATF:
New 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches:
ebay roof spoiler:
3k V-LEDS HID fog kit with harness so I can do the independent fog mod:
V-LEDS Platinum edition 1157 amber bulbs. Brightest of the bright. These things are beefy!:
And the grand finale...
Excelerate's exclusive ISC N1 coilovers:
If you don't know what these are, click here. These coilovers are badass.

Nice car looks good man def subscribed and I think I'm going to do the same set up to my headlights (lens and bulbs)I love that hint of blue to lol. Wheels are nice the only thing that gets under my skin is the center cap area I'm not a fan of that hole in the middle IMO, other than that your car looks really good.
