Do Work Son...Do Work...James' 04 Acura TL thread...
Ok people...here it goes... got the car a year ago...its an 04 acura TL aspec...summer tires were getting nuked...so I decided to go get her some new shoes...other plans for the car is to lower...obviously...and to have the front end resprayed...get rid of the rear aspec spoiler...replace with TL-S spoiler...
rims were a helluva deal!!! picked them up lastnight...thanks again eric. for driving and trying to find Home depot...lol
here are some pix...
Bought the wheels brand new...mounted 18x10 in the rear, 18x9.5 in the front... I am fully aware that it needs lowering...I will be posting a thread in the suspension forum to figure it out...definatley springs...but not sure what ones...in the mean time, I have dismounted the wheels from the car...cause I am the guy that makes fun of people that drive with rims and no lowering....
please feel free to comment...thanks everyone!!!

Off to a great start but i dont think anyone can pull off a lipped 18" wheel with stretched tires without slamming it. And i dont mean just lowering it. Needs to be slammed

I don't think the TL-S spoiler will cover the holes from the wing?

thanks for the feedback guys...I appreciate it!!! I do plan on having the whole front end resprayed and the spoiler removed. the drop because I drive this car daily and do not want the hassle or to pay for a set of coils will be achieved with springs...I will be posting pix later tonight of the gap I have now for advice on what springs to get...stay tuned...in the mean time...keep the comments coming!

ok guys...here are the pix of the gap...remember I am looking for springs...good daily driving...comfortable...now I am thinking H&R as well....dont want to be super dumped though...I can roll the fenders no probs...
Rears:
Fronts:
so the rears are about 2.5" and the fronts are 3" gaps
any suggestions on springs?

If you have your heart set on springs instead of coilovers, I would look into TEIN S-Techs. I have them on my car and I'm dropped about 2 inches.

So I have narrowed down the search for the springs to either the Tein Stech or the H&R sports...the reason being these are both around the 1.5" drops...so after sag, I can expect prolly around 2"...I have heard great things about both...any further suggestions? pro's vs con's? I will be riding on stock shocks....
the H&R race are too aggressive! the tein Htech are too mild...eibach's are super mild drop...so these look like they will be the best fit.
