You are right, I am resistor free on the switchbacks and DRLs with no error codes. (Not even once)

The switchbacks are also from VLEDs and are V2 I think (my fiancée bought them for me for my B-Day so not 100% )

I do get hyper-flashing every now and then on the switchbacks, but it doesn't really bother me so I haven't done anything about it yet.

The Camaro was running 16's
WTF? I was running 14.9's with just intake and with exhaust, I ran a 14.7...

06 base auto with intake and exhaust.....

When I saw your time, i was disappointed .. What's your trap speed and 60' time??? I think you might be launching wrong... Everything is in the launch my man..

The humidity level was up and i was running in 90+degrees, with a poorly prepped track.. I expect a bone stock tl-s auto to be running 14.5's....

Taken directly from the V-LEDS site:
"Type 1 alternates white and amber when the turn signal is applied
Type 2 only the amber flashes when the turn signal is applied."

One more question on the switchbacks, are they the 60smt or the 92smt? I wonder how big of a difference there is on light output between those two. I'm going for the look and visibility but don't want to blind oncoming traffic.
I'm surprised you have no error codes. I might get the resistors since it seems like luck of the draw to have or not have those errors. Plus I don't want any hyper-flashing going on.

Also, I understand you are resistor free on the DRL, but did you buy the DRL module and relay wiring harness for it?

Honestly I have no idea dude. It was my first time racing and when I got that time my reaction time was .5, the Red V8 Camaro next to me had a .2 reaction time and ran a 16 flat. A few guys have commented that the air here in Colorado has an affect on the times.

I definitely have the V2 switchbacks then. I did order the wiring harness, but when I tried to install it one of the plugs went back in the socket. I guess this is a common issue with these, but since I wasn't having any issues with codes or them being dim, I just left the resistors off. Their tech did tell me that without the resistor I was running them at half power, but honestly I don't think they could go any brighter, nor would I want them to be any brighter.

do your switchbacks hyperflash w/out the resistors?

*EDIT : just re-read the thread and saw that they do. install those resistors man! that would annoy the shit out of me!

when you're wiring the switchbacks up, the drivers side clip goes on the red/blue wire AND the black wire. the passenger side goes on the black wire AND the white wire. it took me a little while to figure out which wire to splice into, but those were the colors for my car n since you have a type-s...it should be the same for you. hth.

incorrect. although it would be far less of a difference compared to a NA motor.

also, more to compare to the OP on his times...the AT trans hurts you a lot, and you also have shitty gas in CO. premium is 91 there which makes a difference in timing as well, and that's where all your power is going to come from.

don't worry about it, you did nothing wrong.

The interior lights you are refering to aren't OEM at all. I bought a kit off of e-bay and installed those. You can set them to a bunch of different colors but Blue and Red are usually what stay on. White is really good if you drop a screw or something on the floor

But my car did come with Red lights originally (they are still there just can't see them because of how bright the LEDs are)

Thanks! I agree on the pinstripe, new paint job is in the plans (minus the pinstripe of cours )

I believe you can also splice the resistors into the rear blinker wires in the trunk, since the blinkers all work in a series/loop, it shouldn't matter where they are installed. You just need one on each side. It's easier to access the wires from the trunk, plus you don't have to worry about all the wire clutter in the engine bay.

The install took me and a buddy about 6 hours. We were taking our time, but my back bumper didn't have any of the manufacture's guides. So it took awhile to measure everything out. But it was all worth it in the end.

These reverse lights are from http://www.jlclightings.com/

Nice KBP TL-S! I miss mine! Only thing I recommend is take off that nasty looking sunroof visor :-o Also, one thing that would really improve the look is remove the black plastic splash gaurds and install the OEM painted ones. These are just suggestions and ofcourse my opinion so take it for what its worth.
I was wondering why your car ran so slow at the track then I see your in Colorado. I think running a car in Colorado is pretty much pointless because your going to be very pissed at the time no matter what lol.

Yup, they are sweet lights.

I dunno what you are talking about splash guards. In the first pics I have the OEM grey splash guards, but those are gone since I put my A-Spec kit on.
