Custom carbon fiber mods and my Type-S

Before anyone says it, I know my TL is nowhere as clean as jp's but CF rearview mirror and gas door release? I love CF...........as an accent but I gotta call this overkill.
But to be helpful, consider:
Inner door trim
Lower dash
All the radio trim
Front air vents
Rear air vents
Rear map light assembly
Third brake light cover
Entire rear cupholder assembly
Key FOB
Spare key
Clips that hold the visors in place
Trim around the visor mirrors
But to be helpful, consider:

All the radio trim
Front air vents

Hmmm, overkill? I don't think so. Really how often do you look at your gas door latch, and seat trims? Overkill to me would be something in your face all the time. Some of the CF kits they sell are overkill with every part of the radio and dash covered. The seat trims and the latch are details that aren't in your face while driving. The mirror, to be honest you can hardly tell anything was done to it sitting in the car. It has a shine to it, but from the drivers perspective the CF isn't noticeable unless the sun is shining on it directly. The outside view is where you can see the CF and I think it looks cool. The steering wheel trims was a no brainer. 100x's better looking than the boring silver. As for your suggestions, let me take a stab
Inner door trim - already has CF, anthing more would be overkill
Lower dash - definitely overkill. So no!
All the radio trim - same as above
Front air vents - same as above, so no!
Rear air vents - what? I have a 7" monitor back there, no!
Rear map light assembly - negative.
Third brake light cover - nope.
Entire rear cupholder assembly - houses my 6 disc DVD player, so no!
Key FOB - done it.
Spare key - why?
Clips that hold the visors in place - get real, no!
Trim around the visor mirrors - I have 7" monitors on each visor. So no!
Don't take it the wrong way, I don't mean to be a dick with any of my responses. But I'm pretty sure I'm done with CF for the interior. Again this was my first attemp ever doing anything in CF. I never seen anyone do anything on here like this with the exception of one other member kb1spec if I remember. And I'm not even sure he did the work himself. It was more of a challenge for myself.

I can dig. I think more for me, it's the photos of the same objects at different angles that make me feel like it's over done. And no doubt, I like the steering wheel accents which is why I didn't bring them up. The way I view overkill is anything that doesn't look like it could have been OEM. The center console trim and the phone enclosure loox like something that could be part of an Acura CF package but the lower seat area is like "Oh, so you put carbon fiber on that too, huh?" But HEY..................that's just my opinion. So no, I didn't pick you up as being dick-ish at all. If you have the time/money to put into your car, do the dang thing.

the trunk will stay the same, unless i decide to re-design it and you dont need a second car to do something like this. i was driving the whip like this with all kinds of parts missing
yes REAL carbon fiber none of this air-brushed, water dipped whatever the heck you call it
next will be a stealth mounted V1 radar detector. speeding tickets suck!!!

Looks like you did some very clean work but I personally think its a little too much. I mean, carbon fiber seat bases? and the mirror and stuff... Some stuff looks good but when you start doing random interior parts its just a bit too much for me. The quality looks great though!!!

Jaime, you've been suspiciously quiet lately. What have you been working on?

thanks!
thanks! its a custom molded 07-08 base tl a-spec spoiler made to fit the type-s bumper
solarcomposites.com
i know i hate it! people give me the thumbs down when i drive it
lol! thanks bud!
custom mounted V1 radar detector in rear deck . VEI heads up gauge display for the V1 custom molded and wrapped in driver side A-pillar. help me avoid those
just send me the bases and i'll hook you up!
100 layers
custom made, here's an unfinished one im working on for another member here. just pm me. i'll hook you up
i see what youre saying but really its not overkill. i mean like i said before those parts arent all in your face. the only thing i might have gone too far was the mirror....and thats all.
everyone that see's this in person is amazed, and cant believe i did it myself.
Steven, ive taken a break from modding for a while, but that just means ive had time to brainstorm some new mods to work on. ok there are a few things planned for this coming year.
1. repaint front end, i hit some shit on the highway and my paint is all cracked
2. CF black part of foglight housings
3. try and make a cool custom sleek and subtle CF front splitter. just ordered a universal splitter to play with. and lord knows ive got enough carbon fiber.
4. re-tint my windows 35%....3 tickets is enough
5. black out roof, dunno if i'll paint it or vinyl, we'll see
6. re-do the brembos a new color
7. do something about the wimpy rear caliper. ive got an idea. and its not a plastic ebay cover or a BBK
8. there are others but i cant remember right now.
so lookout for my pm, they'll be a request for a title change in my "quest for the cleanest" thread. i'll let it die when it reaches over 100,000 views

You can do something about #7 with a sexy Rotora BBK
#113
I know but that shit is bank! Wilwood makes a 4 piston rear BBK for our cars its like $600-700 not bad when you compare it to rotora's price. Dunno yet maybe! We'll see
And for those wondering about the splitter, I'm gonna try and make it similar to this, I'm pretty sure I can do it.

Thanks guys! I'm 95% sure I can do this. I always thought The front of the 07-08 TL needed something there. I was gonna do this months ago but got lazy. I finally got motivated to make it.
I did mock-up of it with cardboard, sprayed Painted it black and it looked really good!

some pics i took wayyyy back when i planned on making this. its only cardboard and it was not big enough to go a little further out on each side but, you guys get the idea. i'll most likely make it just a tad bit shorter. i dont want it sticking too far out. clean and subtle is what im going for. i'll probably start this in a week or two.
