When the first question he asked me when I called was "Have you two ever been intimate" I said holy shit...hold on dude...its gonna b a long ride. I wasn't trying to play god or anything, just trying to get the entire story out there for everyone to hear.
As for feelings toward her....LOL....if u go so far as to even glance at my car wrong...FUCK you. I actually saw her scratch one line (the very first one) and I just went back inside....She was obviously turning violent and I'm not about to be pressed with hitting a woman (something I'd NEVER do...regardless of the situation) especially while holding a security clearance and the likes. I was mortified when I saw the event unfold, but like lights said...I can just get money to fix the problem...especially seeing as how her parents just told me to tell them the total and to leave it at that.
soooooooooooooo.......im just waiting for a check now

Farside, call her up on the phone, call her a bitch, then park my car in your spot with a note on it that says whatever you do, you better not draw on the front of my car!
I'm trying to get the front re-done and clearbra-ed!

One thought...you now know what she's capable of. I'm sorry to see what happened to your car, but it's a good thing you're no longer with her. What would happen if you ultimately married her or had kids with her? You would be in a permanent hell. Despite what happened to your car (I know I would be really P.O.'d as well), you handled everything admirably. If her parents are paying in full, just be sure to have no further contact with her or her family (someone else posted that their GF did something similar, but they went back with the GF). This action (on the part of the GF) shows how immature and unstable she really is. I'm sure she might have a reason to be mad, but taking it out on another person's property shows mental instability...what's next, arson? She should now be considered permanently written off.

One more thing...don't forget the restraining order against her. This way, if she comes to where you are (home or work), you can notify the PD and have her taken away.

My girlfriend knows to not even come close to my car with food. If she EVER did that to my car, she'd be serving a life sentence! Good for you for staying calm. Hope the repairs go well.

Whao dude WTF? I would be majorly pissed if I were you. I feel you though, just 3 days ago a lady backed into my car leaving minor scratches on my bumper and I was upset about that, then my ex-BOYFRIEND ran a key across my back passenger side door LAST NIGHT!!! The scratch is only about a foot long, but it's deep.
I can't believe you are taking this with a grain of salt. I usually have a nice attitude but right now I am livid! To think someone would do something like that just cause they can't handle their own emotions.....I call them losers and haters!!Good to know her parents are paying for it on your behalf....but what kind of woman (or man in my case) does stupid shit like that and then has to have their parents bail them out. Wow, I'm just blown away at how LOW people really are. And to think my ex was trying to get back with me...PLEASE...no chance in hell now. I need a man not a childish little boy. People really need to get a f*king life!
Hope it works out for you.

it would be cool if you could get a restraining order on your car...because she will jus fuck it up AGAIN...and it'll happen when no one is there, probably to the point where she either just sets the car on fire, steals it and drives it off a cloff (you're probably hoping she goes down with it) or just rams it with her car...or all of the above.

Holy shit, I quite didn't expect what I saw.... I can see where you are coming from by not suing her, but this is serious vandalism. I would have her arrested, then have the charges dropped, or continue on. What she has done is not a very simple act of spraying a tag onto concrete, she ruined a 35,000 dollar car, and as well caused much humiliation, and distress to you, and you are letting her off almost free.
If you decide not to press charges at all, I would at least ask her/parents for the reduced value of the car as well. A repainted car will take a major hit on resale, around 3K maybe.
Just to add on, you said she ripped your shirt off, and broke your sunglasses, that technically is battery. I would take her on charges at least for that, not to punish her, but to "rehabilitate" her in jail to show her that going crazy like that is not acceptable. I know you may still feel that it was a simple mistake, but a simple mistake can turn out into a much bigger one. I say if you do love her and care for her the slightest bit, at least charge her for assault, that will teach her that what she has done is wrong, with the least amount of time in "rehab", and help her from doing acts such as this again, where she may loose everything. Also a misdemeanor offense such as assault will not tarnish her record.

It's a terrible act of vandalism, but unfortunately people can't just stop loving someone for something they did, regardless of how bad it was.
We can all speculate as to what the OP should do, but it's ultimately his decision and his choice how he feels he needs to move on from this.
