Black Chrome or Sparkling Silver in a SSM... Thoughts,

 

neither....how about gunmetal? the rare 18x8.5 ones

both would look good on your silver car.

 

I am wondering the same thing.. have a SSM with A-Spec body kit. My #1 choice would be the 18x8.5 gunmetal ones but those are hard to find.

Between, the other two, I'd probably pick the Black Chrome (if I am picturing it correctly - I think they are not as chromy/shiny as one would think; I hate chrome wheels). The sparkle silver blend in too much with the color of the car imo.

I think on a SSM, the Black Chrome Aspecs look better because they color match the black chrome on my TL-S tails and sidemarkers but on the otherhand the Sparkling Silver look better if you're trying to color match the wheels and body... Question it, which one...... Chromies are a little bit cheaper so,

 

I think you'll like the contrast better with the Black Chrome.

 

They look good on the AM.

I bet we could search through the SSM pic thread and find a car with each type of wheel. *goes there now*

How about Hyper Silver (gunmetal) or Black Chrome???

 

There was a thread about this a while back. I think there are really only 4 kinds of A-Specs IIRC:

1) Gunmetals - only made in '04 and are the only ones that are 18x8.5 (all others are 18x8)
2) Chrome
3) Sparkle Silver
4) Black/ebony chrome aka hyper silver aka etc..

 

I went with the smoke chrome... Since we can't find any SSM's with smoke chrome wheels, looks like I'll have to throw some pictures up when they come in

 

than i guess i'm cool because i indeed have the rare 18x8.5 gunmetal aspecs lol

^^ yup, but Im full aspec now too.

 

Jerky's 04 SSM TL was/will forever serve as an inspiration for me. Just a really clean and simple TL. He hasn't been on in years though.

If I were to get A-Specs, I'd be highly tempted to go for chrome.
