Clear headlights and Clear taillights

Are the clear headlights and clear tail lights legal in the us? If not has anyone gotten a ticket for having them on your car?

I understand that they are legal as long as the reflector is not removed in the headlights, and the taillights have amber turn signal bulbs installed.

The stock tailights have an LED board that you swap over to the new tails so you have your red for stop and such (LEDs are red). You just need to put an amber bulb where the turn bulb is as that is a clear bulb in stock form. As far as the headlights go all you need is the amber bulb for the turns everything else is good to go.

I did both mods last weekend and purchased two sets of chrome to amber bulbs to install.

For your headlight turn signals did you go with LED or regular bulbs? What chrome to amber bulbs did you purchase?

Thanks!

Regular bulbs from http://autolumination.com/7443_7440.htm 3/4 of the way down the page Silver Stealth Titanium Chrome Vision (chrome to amber).

Much better looking than the chrome domes IMHO.

I was talking about the actual lights not just the bulbs.

So AckTL05 will clear them for me? Do you have to send him some first, or do you pay for some and send him your old ones after you get the new ones?

Check with your state's regulations. Some states require that some red be showing in the tailight.

^^^ this.

each state will have thier own laws concerning the matter, and sadly, each officer will have his/her own interpretaion of said laws.

I was pulled over when i had clear tails (all clear, not the altezzas) and the officer told me that I had to have the equilivant of a 2"x2" red reflector on each rear corner of the car and the same in front with amber. he didnt give me a ticket and also suggested red/amber reflective tape (idaho requires this crap on bicycles if you ride at night) if I didnt want to buy new taillights.

You will have to give him a deposit that gets refunded once you send your stock headlights to him.

I have clear all around, and my turn signal's are white. Never have had a problem. I live in Kentucky, drive in Ohio and West Virginia (where I am from) DAILY...so if it's good to go in 3 states I don't see how it should be a problem.

Is this the only place to get the clear tail lights?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2004-2008-AC...ht_8378wt_1180

I have not been able to find any other listings.
