Clayed and waxed ABP

On Sunday I claybarred and waxed my ABP/Quartz TL. This color is absolutely beautiful when clean.

Since I don't worship at the Temple of Zaino, I used a Mother's Claybar (with Mother's Showtime spray as the lubricant), followed by Meguiar's Gold Class wax. I drove to work in the rain this morning, so tonight I went over the whole car with Meguiar's Quik Detailer spray.

Call me a claybar convert; this was my first time using one. It easily took off some white paint drops from the passenger side, cleaned off what I thought was a scuff on the side skirt below the drivers side door, and even removed the Mercedes paint that was rubbed off on my drivers side rear quarter when my car was biffed while sitting in my garage.

On top of all that, it is _much_ easier to use than the Meguiar's clean then polish system I had been using before.

Here's the obligatory reflecting hood shot.

Nice job oh Lord of The Abyss!

I'll have to invest in some high quality car-care products for the end of summer detailings on my TL and Solara.

My car is going back to the dealership on Saturday for its Body Side Moldings (aka puffy lumpers).

Sincerely,

Your humble servant, the Supreme Underlord of The Abyss.

Don't forget an ominous name for your car. I call mine "Kerberos".

I did mine this weekend. The Meguire's works very well. I have some pics I will post.

Question: Now that my car has plenty of wax on it, Should I still wash it with soap?
